PR Manager, PR & Communications
Role + Responsibilities:
Strategy - develop and manage public relations plans in alignment with Bearaby’s overall objectives; play a key role in creating the brand’s messaging on across platforms to position Bearabys as a thought leader in the market
Media Relations - with the assistance of agency partners + PR/Partnerships Manager, lead media outreach initiatives to position Bearaby as a leader in sustainability and mental health awareness; tasks may include pitching, handling inbound media queries, and managing relationships between the brand and news outlets
Content Creation - responsible for developing content, storylines, and written materials and messages including press releases, media advisories, pitches, and presentations tied to the brand and the PR plan framework; communicate internally regarding content to increase team members’ understanding of the public relations role, activities, and media coverage functions
Analytics - develop, maintain, and analyze Bearaby’s public relations channels, implementing new tools and reporting methods to optimize reach; conduct regular media auditing to inform KPIs
Collaboration/support - report to PR Director; work alongside, but as a mentor to, PR/Partnerships Manager
Requirements:
-5-7 years of experience in a PR/Communications role
-Multi-tasker with a hands-on mindset, able to manage end to end projects from conception to execution
-Great understanding of how PR works together with brand, SEO, social media, and influencer marketing strategies
-Creative, yet analytical; able to prioritize, multi-task, and work well under tight and shifting deadlines
-Passion for sustainability and mental health
-Start-up experience a plus
