The Social Media Specialist is the voice of Splenda across all key social media platforms (primarily Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Pinterest). This role will live and breathe social media with the goal of being a leader in the social space. Using creativity, innovation, passionate storytelling and premium copywriting, this role will be monitoring our social media channels with the goal of raising brand awareness, growing and maintaining our social presence, and increasing in-store sales.
Core responsibilities include overseeing development and implementation of all content, ongoing monitoring and moderation of social handles, social listening to identify trends/issues/opportunities, and influencer relationship marketing. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of current trends in social media, pop culture, and influencer marketing, and lead integrated campaigns across all social platforms through execution and analysis. The Social Media Specialist will work with the Senior Social Media Manager, brand teams, agency partners, internal teams (creative and implementation), and vendors to launch online campaigns on-time and on- or under-budget. This position is based out of our corporate office in Carmel, Indiana.

The successful candidate will exhibit excellent written communication skills, the ability to stay on top of emerging trends, and will utilize the latest technologies to execute effective social campaigns that increase sales and drive consumer loyalty and advocacy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Be the voice of the brand (Splenda) across all social media platforms.
  • Manage the brand profiles on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok and other up-and-coming social channels.
  • Monitor relevant conversations and engage with consumers to enhance brand reputation. Engage with agencies for real-time opportunities and issues.
  • Look for opportunities to Surprise & Delight fans, media, and influencers on social media.
  • Coordinate with call center for moderation support and consistent messaging across consumer touchpoints.
  • Support development of content strategy and calendar and lead content creation in partnership with brand teams along with internal and external agencies
  • Post or oversee posting of all content and give direction to agency partners for paid support
  • Manage specific campaigns to generate buzz before, during, and after physical events
  • Track KPIs and optimize performance for all social efforts
  • Develop, coordinate and report on marketing campaigns
  • Support the strategic process, including:
    • Competitive analysis
    • Audience insights
    • Social listening
    • Identify emerging trends and changes in social media
    • Content Creation ability is a plus


REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Marketing, Digital Media, or other related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of social media marketing experience, preferably working with consumer-facing brands (not just B2B experience)
  • Social Media and consumer/customer engagement should be a passion.
  • Demonstrable experience managing paid social media and influencer campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge of analytics and experience setting / tracking social KPIs
  • Strong knowledge of various social channels with experience on each
  • Experience with social listening platforms (SproutSocial, Social Bakers, Hootsuite, etc.)
  • Experience with Facebook Ads Manager/Business Accounts
  • Experience with Google Analytics, SEO, and email management programs (e.g. Mailchimp) is a plus
  • Understanding of creative development processes
  • Personable and upbeat, able to deal with consumers in a fun and engaging way
  • Excellent written communication skills for internal and public facing materials
  • Must be solution-oriented and a creative thinker - focused on impactful results
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast, flexible, and innovative environment
  • Strong time management skills
