Primary Purpose Of The Position

The Strategic Partnerships Coordinator will be a key team player to help maximize Ball Corporation’s marketing partnerships, providing support in such areas as project management, ideation and plan execution. This role will be involved in all aspects of events and sponsorships, ensuring the partnerships and associated activations align with Ball’s business objectives and brand positioning.

Essential Responsible Areas

  • Support the Director, Strategic Partnerships to monitor partnerships and implement communication strategies across all partnerships
  • Assist in the creation of presentations and provide research data for partner recaps, activation proposals, new business initiatives and RFP responses
  • Manage and track marketing campaigns in line with Ball strategies and tactical marketing plans from ideation to implementation
  • Oversee creative development processes to ensure marketing materials are high-quality and on-brand
  • Craft marketing briefs that inspire creative agency and design partners to develop breakthrough communications and experiences
  • Create conference reports for weekly status calls with partners and agencies
  • Understand contract terms and ensure governance of those terms
  • Liaison with Ball Resource Groups and Talent Acquisition in order to facilitate employee engagement in Ball’s strategic partnerships
  • Serve as global point of contact for Strategic Partnerships and coordinate activities with EMEA taskforce

Region Specific Responsible Areas

Specific responsibilities will be linked to each partnership and its associated contract. Partnerships have the potential to span inside and outside the United States to reflect Ball’s global footprint.

  • Commercial beverage teams (region dependent on nature of partnership)

Position Requirement & Competencies

  • Entry level position with up to two years of agency experience in marketing program management/development, promotional, sponsorship, and/or experiential marketing, or field marketing activities with a marketing agency and/or on brand management
  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through a Bachelor’s degree or work-related experience
  • Flexible, positive, self-starter, confident, energetic with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Creative problem solver with ability to prioritize multi-task workload, work independently and troubleshoot issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Collaborative teammate – bring a positive attitude and willingness to respectfully push teammates toward excellence
  • Strong grasp of social media influencer marketing
  • Knowledge of on-site activation/execution with support of event management and planning
  • Strong research, PowerPoint and Excel skills in support of document, budget and presentation development
