Production Assistant & Social Media Coordinator

The X Co. is building a national network of private membership clubs and residences, or as we like to say — It’s a home, it’s a gym, it’s a work space, it’s energizing experiences, it’s a pool bar, and your new network. It’s an X.

The X Co. is a small team of dynamic people ready to disrupt the real estate industry. We are a tight knit group that pushes each other to achieve big results. If you aren’t comfortable wearing many hats (sometimes this includes a hard hat) then this job probably isn’t for you. Our ideal candidate is Chicago-based, has outstanding copywriting skills, is adept at content creation including basic graphic design and video editing, and keeps up on the latest trending topics and feature releases. We can also talk Hype House drama in your interview.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute social media strategy.
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
  • Create engaging content (video and photo) for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Write copy in our brand voice for organic and paid posts.
  • Assist with reputation management, responding on review sites and to comments on paid social ads.
  • Attend events and produce live social media content.
  • Maintain unified brand voice across all channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing director to create a social media calendar.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Assist in the development and management of an influencer marketing strategy.

This is a full-time position. X Co. employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, dental, and a vision discount plan in addition to a monthly credit for mobile plans. X Co. has an unlimited vacation policy and we believe in the benefits of travel. A $1000 stipend is provided once a year to each employee for international travel. Business travel will sometimes be required to our two Chicago locations as well as to our Denver location launching January 2021.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools
  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools including InDesign
  • Excellent social listening skills
  • Ability to switch between a B2C and B2B voice
  • Knowledge of historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
  • Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
  • Outstanding time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years experience with B2C social media marketing or content development
  • Direct experience using social media management tools (knowledge of Sprout Social a plus)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign) or equivalent digital media editing tools
