Senior Content Strategist (Remote)

Stealth Venture Labs
San Francisco, CA, USA Remote ⚠ [Archived] No Longer Accepting Applicants

Stealth Venture Labs is a 6 year old digital marketing agency that's made up of bad ass marketing veterans from organizations like Thrive Market, Facebook, Fabletics, JustFab, Uber and many more. We've generated over $300M in recurring revenue for our clients in the last 5 years and have a $1B goal over the next 5 years.

We're building the team to help take us there and are searching for a proven Content Strategist who will take our team to the next level.

The core function of the job is developing content strategies based on our clients' business objectives and their end users' needs. Creative professionals in this role oversee content requirements and create content strategy deliverables across a project life cycle. This includes conducting content audits (qualitative analyses of all the content in our ad campaigns across other brands in our portfolio) as well as gap analyses.

As a part of our marketing team, the Senior Content Strategist at Stealth Venture Labs will lead the planning, creation, and analysis of content that attracts new customers in Facebook, Instagram, Google, Pinterest and Snapchat ads along side the design team lead. You will act as the "glue" between the creative and media buying team to help our client's campaigns hit the psychological vein of their customers—ultimately helping them grow their businesses. This position is part psychology, part strategy, part analytics, part copywriting and 100% critical thinking.

You will run content strategy for a pod of accounts where you'll be responsible for analyzing our client's brands, their products and their value propositions then translating those insights into campaign strategies and direct response ad copy. You must be able to quickly understand consumer behavior and empathize with the potential customer to reverse engineer their buying behavior and then translate that into actionable campaigns and ad copy for our media team. This is a creative position that requires an analytical mind who can understand data and extract insights from it. You should be as comfortable researching, copywriting, and editing as you are analyzing the results of ad campaigns each week.

The Content Strategist is in charge of creating and maintaining editorial calendars, style guides, taxonomies, metadata frameworks and content migration plans. Content strategists may also be responsible for managing other employees and freelancers, maintaining budgets, and assisting with the technical integration of content.

The Content Strategist must be a high-level thinker who has a penchant for keeping track of details. You must be a standout idea generator and problem solver with excellent communication and organizational skills. As a strategy expert, you must have the analytical abilities necessary to gather key business and user insights, and apply your strategic planning skills to create short-term and long-term visions for the content that's generated.

A firm understanding of user experience and strong Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) skills are required.

This person will manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously and work with the SVL team to set, measure and achieve client monthly goals. You will be responsible for scheduling and communicating expectations for all projects that you manage to both internal and external stakeholders with enthusiasm and excellence. You can multitask with ease, manage dynamic environments and have a passion to continually learn and grow.

This person will have the ability to compellingly communicate a brand's story, and a design sensibility to envision how content will be presented or distributed in formats other than text-based articles—such as infographics or multimedia. The ideal candidate is someone who has worked in a digital marketing agency previously, who is a people person, has excellent communication skills, is well-versed in project management processes, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and relishes taking complete ownership of projects from beginning to end.
