Job Summary

We are seeking a Director for our Corporate Communications and PR function who will oversee all aspects of our external/internal communications and PR capabilities. You must be a dynamic and highly energetic leader who is thoughtful, yet willing to challenge the status quo. This experienced leader will be a top talent in the Communications and PR space who brings exceptional strategic, creative, and intellectual curiosity to explore new ways and approaches to achieve our communication and PR goals. This person will report into our CEO and work closely with him and the executive team. He/She will manage our PR, external communications, media relations, internal communications and be an expert and driver of content through social media to enhance our brand presence in the marketplace.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead our overall public relations strategy inclusive of communications, media relations, social media platforms to communicate our voice and enhance our brand awareness with the public, and our customers
  • Develop and advance the strategy and voice for the CEO and executive communications, including speaking engagements, media interviews, media preparation and internal communications
  • Develop our corporate narrative and messaging pillars - and activate this throughout our communications program and channels
  • Lead a robust media relations function, with a focus on delivering exceptional results that effectively position ComPsych as the world’s largest EAP provider and FMLA service partner
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships as needed with PR firms, Ad agencies, and Social Media influencers
  • Align our PR strategy with the business strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to deliver on our communications strategy
  • Be a problem solver for day to day communication and PR needs

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree from a recognized university required; MBA or MS/MA in Communications/PR highly preferred
  • 10+ years of corporate communications and PR experience, preferably with a broad background including B2B, consumer based businesses, and private companies
  • Proven track record for developing a communications strategy that delivers business results
  • Experience developing value propositions and how to best universally deliver the communications across the various channels and communication platforms
  • History of working closely with executives and a deep understanding of the business
  • Ability to create compelling, data-driven stories and campaigns that showcase trends, impacts and customer success
  • Media results that spotlight your ability to deliver outstanding media coverage
  • Exceptional writer and dynamic speaker
  • Experience in developing and implementing new communications/positioning strategies
  • A persuasive influencer who has the ability to build consensus and momentum
  • Entrepreneurial-minded, business-savvy leader
  • Extensive experience working with media, including top-tier national, regional, financial, and trade outlets
