About the Position:

SCOUT seeks a bold, innovative leader to oversee our E-Commerce and Marketing teams. As Senior Director and part of the Executive Leadership Team, you’ll shape company strategy, drive e-commerce growth, and scale SCOUT’s national presence.

You will own DTC growth targets, optimize the customer lifecycle, and lead brand campaigns that build emotional connections and brand equity. This is a rare chance to combine strategy, creativity, and execution—driving measurable results and defining the future of a growing lifestyle brand.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and drive the DTC e-commerce roadmap to make www.scoutbags.com the #1 destination for the brand with clear revenue and profit targets.
  • Translate high-level brand strategies into actionable growth plans with clear deliverables, timelines and KPIs.
  • Work closely with the President & Chief Creative Officer to shape SCOUT’s brand strategy, annual calendar, and campaigns. Own strategy across paid search & social, influencer, affiliate, email, direct mail, organic, partnerships, and brand activations.
  • Directly oversee lifecycle and retention analytics to drive customer acquisition and loyalty. Own the customer journey end to end.
  • Oversee successful go-to-market execution in marketing & DTC channels. Align product launches and channel strategy to minimize brand-wide channel conflict across DTC, marketplace and wholesale.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Planning on assortment strategy, inventory alignment, and promotional planning.
  • Lead business analysis and reporting to identify trends, track performance, and inform real-time decisions.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and technologies to reduce workload, enhance content creation, increase personalization & customization and make data-driven decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team across e-commerce and marketing (currently 3 direct reports and 6 indirect reports).

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading e-commerce and marketing in consumer products, with proven success scaling both revenue and brand.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in digital analytics, marketing attribution, and testing/optimization.
  • Deep knowledge of Shopify, GA4, SEO, paid social, and digital advertising platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of lifecycle/retention marketing (CRM, email, SMS, personalization tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate offline brand storytelling into digital strategy.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and inspiring teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and management skills.
