Director, Social Media/Paid

The Director of Social Media/Paid is responsible for leading social programs for our clients and managing a team of three reports. When account teams have questions about social media and paid strategy, you will be their go-to. Your willingness to jump in and help engenders trust from our teams, and clients, and will help you become an indispensable member of our team.

You’ll manage program strategy, planning, budgeting and staffing and you will be accountable for driving results. You’ll also be expected to counsel clients with regard to both strategic and tactical initiatives.

Directors demonstrate a willingness to handle work that falls outside of the official job description, when necessary, including aspects of their direct reports’ positions or temporary assignments involving other accounts.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Developing insights-based social media strategies that align with client business goals
  • Experiencing creating and implement full-funnel paid strategies, tracking from awareness to purchase
  • Understanding social media’s place in overall integrated marketing campaigns and how to optimize/leverage accordingly
  • Gleaning insights from campaigns and programs to optimize and improve strategy
  • Manage a team of three, mentoring and growing their abilities
  • Liaising with creative to ensure activations follow best practices and engage audiences
  • Staying current with social media innovations and trends, new platforms, and channels, and make strategic recommendations based on each opportunity
  • Managing and advising on social media crises
  • Developing and executing influencer campaigns to drive results
  • Developing content and strategies for new business pitches
  • Presenting ideas to clients and in new business pitches in a succinct, compelling manner

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 7+ years of managing, developing, and optimizing paid social media campaigns and strategies.
  • Deep, tactical knowledge of social media channels, including management of performance-based paid social advertising campaigns
  • Comprehensive understanding of best practices and standards for all social media channels including and not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience building strategy around content, voice, user generated content and community to deliver a best-in-class social media experience across all platforms.
  • Experience building, executing, and expanding an influencer marketing strategy.
  • Solid track record of building, coaching and mentoring teams.
  • A curious nature and a sense of urgency to create best-in-class programs
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and occasionally operate office equipment
  • Ability to travel as needed (when safe)
