Job Description
You will be part of the Social Media team at Pottery Barn, working in our brand headquarters in San Francisco, CA. Our job is to drive brand awareness and engagement, amplify brand storytelling, support content creation, and build strategic partnerships for the Pottery Barn brand.
About The Role
The Assistant Social Media Manager is responsible for supporting the Social Media Manager and leading the implementation of the Pottery Barn social media strategy via key channels. The role requires a can-do attitude and an enthusiasm for driving brand awareness and increasing brand affinity across Pottery Barn’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.). This role is responsible for leveraging and understanding company and related industry trends to engage and enhance the brand community, as well as drive innovation and grow KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Manage vendors and invoicing and provide support as needed for budget and monthly forecast.
- Maintain the social team Content Library, ensuring content is up-to-date and partner with Creative to get assets in a timely manner.
- Assist the Social Media Manager in building Paid Social ads and act as liaison between Creative, Brand, and CRM teams.
- Foster a sense of community on the brand's social channels by monitoring comments, responding to product/brand-related questions and engaging followers.
- Analyze social media data and support weekly and monthly reporting to strategically inform messaging and content strategies.
- You have 2+ years of experience in a social media marketing role. You have experience managing influencer marketing and paid social media campaigns with keen attention to detail and exceptional follow through.
- You have experience in a consumer facing business and have an active curiosity to engage, participate and grow.
- You have experience with social publishing and reporting tools: Sprinklr, Curalate, Lithium and Adobe Analytics.
