A major vertically integrated cannabis company ​is seeking an experienced​ Social Media Manager ​to lead, develop and execute innovative social media strategies​. ​In this role, you will be part of the marketing team, handling day-to-day management of our social channels, building strategic plans for audience growth, engagement, and being the main point of contact for social partnerships. The ideal candidate has experience in social strategy, brand marketing, loves all things social, has a relentless curiosity, and keen attention to detail. THIS ROLE REQUIRES PREVIOUS CANNABIS MARKETING EXPERIENCE.

 Social strategy background

 Creative and hands on with production side

 Experience with social influencer campaigns

 Copywriting – Strong writer

 Current on culture and trends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Developing and executing organic, and eventually paid, social media strategy to align with 360

marketing campaigns

 Executing the brand strategy across all social media platforms and influencer marketing segments to

achieve revenue and growth targets

 Managing daily posting schedule, content and community management

 Proofing and posting social media copy tailored to each social channel

 Sourcing visual content that reflects the spirit and vision of the company (UGC, photo, video, gifs)

 Working with the creative team to create monthly social calendar & plan content aligned to marketing

calendar, storyboarding.

 Reviewing with and receiving approval from all key internal parties for posts, IG stories, partnerships,

contests

 Engaging with and building social community

 Overseeing management of all community engagement and communication across social platforms

within 24 hours/ 7 days a week

 Proactively commenting and engaging with posts on other like-minded brand accounts to gain new

followers

 Developing partnerships with creators, brands, and corporations to spread our brand message and

consistently generate fresh content campaigns

 Working with retail, brand and communication team (influencers. Activation, PR etc..) to drive key

marketing initiatives or promotions through social channels

 Utilizing social media as a revenue generating channel, when possible optimizing content and posts to

drive conversions on retail and brand websites.

 Providing monthly social performance reporting. Using data and insights, along with research and

competitor data, to inform strategy and content development

Skills and qualities:

 Strong understanding/passion for cannabis space

 Expert knowledge of Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Reddit, Twitch, Tik Tok…

 Working knowledge of social audience tools (Sprout social, Hoot Suite, Dash Hudson etc…),

 Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data into actionable items

 Proven ability to grow social audiences & engagement

 Experienced in crafting & executing smart social strategy to maximize ROI

 Self-managed and able to think independently

 Extremely organized with a keen attention to detail, quick responder

 Strong communicator and collaborator.

 Very strong copywriting & copyediting skills

 Ability to thrive in a scrappy, start-up environment: Assertive with strong follow-through and a knack for

identifying potential problems & providing creative solutions before anyone else notices them

Required:

 21+

 2+ years brand marketing experience
