Responsibilities
This Will Include
The social media strategist will assist with social media marketing tactics and strategies that deliver performance results and achieve client business objectives.
- Documentation: Develop social media strategy documentation for clients (best practices, channel strategy, content strategy, community response playbooks, etc.)
- Content Creation: Collaborate and assist in social storytelling and content development
- Engagement: Manage and engage social communities by responding to comments and questions in a proactive and reactive manner
- Influencer Management: Manage client influencer programs by creating strategic documentation, managing influencer creative and deployment of content, analytics, and contracts
- Social Insights: Assemble and deliver strategic insights through analytics reporting and social listening
- Collaboration: Work with other departments and teams (Creative, Email, Ecommerce, Enterprise Collaboration) to coordinate and amplify marketing campaigns
- Education: Educate client and internal teams on social media and marketing channel value, best practices and ongoing evolution implications
- Coordination: Coordinate support for clients with emphasis on social marketing opportunities, and direct requests to appropriate internal teams
- Industry Expertise: Maintain knowledge of key social media tools, best practices and emerging trends, including:
- Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Social commerce (Shopping)
- Social listening
- Digital management and monitoring tools (Salesforce Social Studio, Sprinklr, Spredfast, Curalate, Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, etc.)
- Social media activation (paid, earned and owned)
- Social media measurement/analytics
- Influencer trends
Qualifications
- Four plus years of experience in a digital marketing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced social media expertise with experience in driving social media strategy and executing social media programs for an agency or client
- Ability to manage time well, multitask and prioritize projects and tasks
- Strong research skills to find answers to complex social media problems
- Hands-on experience with social and mobile marketing channels
- Fortitude to stay calm under pressure
- Excellent client service skills and positive attitude
Bonus Experience
- Agency experience is a plus
- PR experience is a plus
- New business pitch experience is a plus
- A strong personal social presence is a plus
- Consumer packaged goods and/or non-profit experience is a plus
