We are Drybar, a blow dry bar, and we set out to shake up the beauty industry in our own, anti-salon kind of way. We believe in doing one thing and being the best at it. For us, that’s blowouts. In fact, our tagline says it best: No cuts. No color. Just blowouts. What started with one shop in Brentwood, CA has grown to nearly 60 locations across 15 markets, with more to come. We are actively seeking a Social Media Manager!

As a member of the marketing team, the Social Media manager will manage all areas of Social Media, supporting Public Relations, partnerships, retailer partners, NSO, product launches, and events while driving and implementing a strong social media strategy. You will execute and optimize social media efforts from big to small aimed at creating awareness and engagement for the Drybar brand regionally, nationally and digitally on our social media channels. The social media manager will be a key contributor in driving strong story-telling, driving social media campaign and project development, and responsible for growing the Drybar audience and sentiment across all social media channels. The position will report directly into the Sr. Manager of Public Relations and manage internal and external social media teams while working collaboratively with our external Public Relations team and Drybar’s creative, product and channel marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, drive and manage the overarching social media strategy across all channels to align with business goals. Strategy includes the implementation of compelling content and programs across various social platforms that engages and communicates effectively with our audience
  • Create, manage and continually update our brand voice for customer service and call center assistance
  • Seamlessly execute social media brand campaigns from start to finish including: Content creation, messaging, brand voice and story-telling, streamlining processes and supporting longer-term planning to setup the brand marketing team for success
  • Collaborate with the Public Relations/marketing to orchestrate gifting programs and press previews in order to secure online influencer engagement and coverage
  • Set goals and measure performance of key social media and influencer KPI’s
  • Manage our internal owned influencer VIP program, showing an ROI on strategic influencer relationships
  • Proactively explore potential partnerships for social media, influencer marketing and beyond while fielding inbound requests; manage these partnerships from start to finish
  • Manage and lead our internal and external social media teams including timelines, calendars and forecasting
  • Establish social media guidelines for all channels, including all internal and external teams/partners
  • Collaborate across the marketing team, leading meetings and team communications as needed
  • Offer a fresh perspective on social media channels, apps, platforms, and opportunities as the eyes and ears of the future of Drybar Social Media
  • Oversee all social media initiatives to drive growth, engagement and revenue
  • Work directly with our partners on co-branded social media strategy for each product launch and ongoing social media support, nationally
  • Build strong influencer and brand relationships to cultivate strong, future partnerships that build brand awareness and strategic story-telling
  • Establish and oversee internal social media and influencer management platforms
  • Prepare presentation materials and analyze KPI performance
  • Stay ahead of innovation and new products across social media platforms
  • Research and analyze brand marketing trends and partnership opportunities

Qualifications

  • Highly creative and demonstrated ability to create engaging, on-brand content
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms
  • Strong team building skills and excellent cross-functional communicator
  • Ability to work in fast-paced team environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and the desire to bring structure to undefined procedures
  • Should be a motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail
  • Strong presentation and analytical orientation, with ability to synthesize findings into digestible forms
  • Enthusiastic and creative with a go-getting attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing and/or social media (fashion, lifestyle, retail, beauty, or agency experience preferred)

Work product of the department must be high quality. Must have ability to innovate process improvements in order to achieve the highest operational standards. Takes a proactive approach to safety in the workplace for all Drybar operations and offices.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell; traverse business office areas and retail shops.

Must be able to type on a computer keyboard, use 10-key, dial a telephone and efficiently utilize other common office equipment requiring the ability to use fingers and hands on a regular basis using fine motor movements. Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, complex ideas, information and concepts to all levels in the organization including executive management. Must be able to participate in verbal and written conversations, requiring ability to read, talk, hear and understand what others are communicating as well as able to write, speak and effectively communicate with others.

Mild exposure to electrical shock through the use of office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones and copier machines.

Office environment is temperature controlled from 65 – 75 degrees, no exposure to variable extremes of excessive heat or cold temperatures.

Workplace Conditions And Environment

Regularly works a modern office environment and occasionally work in the field at retail shop location or other off-site locations. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday. This position may frequently require longer hours and weekend work.
