Position Summary:

The CMO will work closely with the Executive Director to strategically plan for short-term and long-term goals for marketing and communications. Working closely with the Founders and Executive Director, you will have a significant strategic impact and influence the direction of the Well Beings brand and marketing strategy along with editorial storytelling, own our brand vision and long-term brand recognition and scale our user growth. Well Beings is on a mission to become a household name for next-gen investors, activists and donors in sustainability - becoming a big tent where animal welfare meets environmental justice and climate protection. We seek an exceptional leader and team player who has the ability to establish a long-term vision and inspire people at all levels, with the ability to segment, develop, and target the appropriate audience segments, while optimizing the efficiency of the marketing budget.

Well Beings is a 501c(3) nonprofit dedicated with a mission to “save animals, our planet and our future” through dynamic grant making and education/awareness campaigns that underscore the interconnection between animal welfare, environmental justice and climate change.

Focused on building a next-gen movement, Well Beings promotes sustainable lifestyle and consumer choices through corporate partnerships, behavior change campaigns and programmatic guides.

Our virtual team is committed to building a broad coalition of donors, activists and investors who recognize the interconnection between all life on the planet. We seek a CMO who can build our movement through social media, digital marketing, press, and communications expertise.

Responsibilities:

· Bring strong analytical, big-picture thinking and leadership skills to develop marketing campaigns aimed at increasing donor retention and the lifetime value of the donor

· Increase the size of each platform's audience a minimum of 25% YoY for the next 5 years

· Increase the size of each platform's audience (a minimum of 25% YOY)

· Total emails collected (+15% YoY)

· Total donations attributed to media platforms (especially social media) or customer added to our opt-in list from social media (a minimum of +25% YoY)

· Drive awareness and create an unparalleled, well-recognized brand and corporate identity for Well Beings;

· Develop an external strategic marketing plan and program, which highlights our target audiences, and leverage our recent successes to grow and scale the brand from being a startup nonprofit to becoming a recognized global brand;

· Lead and execute all brand marketing efforts across all channels including brand development, content marketing, social media, PR, influencer marketing, partnerships, advertising, experiential marketing, and other events;

· Lead all editorial and content strategy that can be leveraged to add significant value to our audiences for engagement, retention and new user acquisition.

· Develop and execute innovative, out-of-the-box brand building activations to build awareness, brand equity and drive user growth;

· Evangelize the company’s brand and product proposition and build a compelling marketing message;

· Develop key relationships with press and influencers;

· Drive partnerships that enable user growth and reach for the Well Beings community;

· Work with ED to develop e-commerce strategy and drive the growth of this new revenue stream across the platform. Identify compelling and impactful strategies

· Leverage consumer insights to inform ad, content and eCommerce strategy

Qualifications:

· Successful track record as a VP/SVP Marketing or CMO in the consumer technology space

· Experience with brand building and consolidating multiple brands into a single brand

· Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent business experience

· Minimum 8 years of marketing experience in a startup, high growth, or medium-sized company; 10+ years of experience (preferred)

· Team builder who has overseen a world-class global marketing team

· Proven track record of user growth and engagement
