Director of Social Marketing

LiveXLive is looking for a music-obsessed social media leader to help build our brand & drive strategic growth for the company on social platforms. Reporting to the CMO, The Director of Social Marketing will lead & develop LiveXLive's social marketing and social content distribution strategies, work collaboratively with content, marketing, and operations teams on campaigns and partnerships, and continue to reinforce LiveXLive as the global leader in music and entertainment content. We are accepting candidates in LA or NYC.

The ideal Director of Social Marketing candidate will have a demonstrated track record of strategic, creative, and analytical experience, ideally in the music or entertainment industries. He/she should have hands-on experience developing/planning content, working with video and content development teams, creating social content at events, managing social platforms (with a deep understanding of the nuances of each), audience engagement, and creating actionable social insights. The Director of Social Marketing will monitor and educate the company on trends in music & content so he/she should be passionate about music & have an understanding of music and trends across genres.

Responsibilities include:

- Develop LiveXLive's social strategy, identifying key audiences, developing a brand voice, and creating a platform strategy for LiveXLive across social and content distribution platforms including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and more.

- Monitor social and pop culture trends & work with content producers to create relevant and engaging evergreen and promotional content for social platforms.

- Oversee festival livestream content distribution across third-party platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, and YouTube.

- Work with audio content teams & DJs to develop social content and drive traffic to LiveXLive’s streaming radio stations.

- Collaborate with livestream production teams, social content producers, and social media managers on on-the-ground social coverage and VOD content at live concerts and festivals.

- Work with media planning and buying partners on paid social and influencer marketing campaigns that drive free & paid subscription growth.

- Set measurable goals & KPIs, create actionable insights from data, and a regular reporting cadence to show social growth.

- Manage 2-3 social marketing managers, with an eye on growing the team as needed.

- Own relationships with platform partners at Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and more.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communication, journalism, or related fields.

- 7-9 years of hands-on social marketing & community management experience, ideally in the music or entertainment industries. Brand, publisher, and/or agency experience welcome.

- Hands-on experience developing brands on social media, with a successful track record of creating engaging content and setting/exceeding goals.

- Deep understanding of video content production and video viewership trends on social platforms.

- Knowledge of the streaming and live music landscape.

- Forward-thinking, enthusiastic self-starter with the creativity and expertise to drive meaningful social results.

- An ability to create actionable insights from large and complex data sets.

- Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously, being able to pivot at a moment's notice.

- Must be able to work nights/weekends as live shows air on LiveXLive, as well as travel to major live events as needed.
