Position Summary:

MCBG | Marie Claire Beauty Group is looking for a digital superstar to join the MCBG Brands social media team. You will lead the management of exciting beauty brands overall social media activities.

The Role

This role will implement social media strategy and monitor day-to-day operations and community management for our active social platforms. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented individual, with a passion for social media and a strong understanding of beauty trends and internet culture.

Responsibilities


  • Create, design, manage and execute on day-to-day social media strategy, content and campaigns across social platforms of a portfolio of MCBG beauty brands.
  • Set & track benchmarks and goals for reach, engagement, etc.
  • Schedule all social media posts across platforms, as well as posting natively as needed
  • Work closely with the Content team to create a monthly editorial content calendar for social media posts across platforms
  • Maintain a unified brand voice across different social media channels.
  • Help to create unique, engaging content for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Stories, IGTV, plus any new platforms that launch or emerge. Identify best practices and ideate on ways to bring our brand voice to life on those channels.
  • Own community management across all social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.), responding to comments and actively engaging with followers and influencer posts.
  • Identify, track and engage in real-time with talent, key influencers and celebrities that are talking about the brand across social media channels.
  • Develop influencer programs to help build brand with consumers.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to align on promotion of launches and events
  • Monitor, respond to and moderate social media conversations on managed platforms
  • Optimize social content for performance on all platforms, including updating metadata, applying annotations, and creating/selecting compelling thumbnails for content
  • Analyze social media performance, building and updating weekly/monthly reports to share with the broader team.
  • Share community feedback, identify potential growth opportunities and issues, manage day-to-day responses across social platforms
  • Stay up to date on new social media tools, best practices, competitive activity and other social media leaders to be early adopter of technologies and trends. Serve as lead liaison with social platform / media partners (e.g. Facebook, Google, etc.). Be a force of proposal within the brand to go after high-potential opportunities.

Requirements

  • Highly engaged in and active on social media
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms : context and users (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Tiktok, emerging platforms, etc.)
  • Superb verbal, written and presentation skills to communicate effectively, and on-brand, with consumers, in-house stakeholders and outside vendors
  • Branding, skincare/beauty and fashion experience/knowledge highly valued
  • Experience managing multiple agency and vendor relationships
  • Comfortable interfacing with high level celebrities, influencers and artists
  • Managed high-visibility / high-profile accounts or top-tier consumer brands.
  • Proven social media or community management experience
  • Savvy and knowledgeable about current social media trends, innovations and culture
  • Solid understanding of digital content, communication and marketing principles and goals
  • Photo/Video editing experience/basic design capabilities for social media a plus
  • Familiarity with web and social media analytics (Omniture, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc.)
  • Highly creative, strategic thinker with ability to develop fresh, executable ideas that support internal initiatives
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast paced, team environment and keep calm under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and work effectively with multiple teams
  • Complete familiarity with MS Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrate 24/7 approach to responsibilities
