Position Summary:

The Director of Influencer & Partner Engagement is responsible for generating advocacy for the Aveda brand through key partnerships with global brand advocates, Aveda Artists and strategic partners.

Through implementation of the Artist spotlight program and amplification via @avedaartists, they will maximize the creation and amplification of Artist Generated Content (AGC) to leverage Aveda’s 50,000+ global Artists as micro-influencers.

Job Description:

Create global influencer strategy to cascade to regional partners and provide recommendations on engagement, optimization and measurement.

Establish relationships with key influencer partners (Advocates, Artists) on behalf of the Aveda brand

Provide direction and support to Regions and Affiliates in the creation and curation of local brand and AGC content for the Professional Engagement Platform.

Maximize the creation and amplification of Artist Generated Content (AGC) through traditional media pitching, trend reports and partnerships.

Engage Aveda Artists across all touchpoints (social, digital, print, eventing etc.) to generate advocacy and create a strong Artist community.

Partner with education to facilitate the Aveda Artist Spotlight program to provide ongoing Artist Generated Content (AGC) for use on Aveda owned social media channels to engage both Artists and Guests with professional tips, techniques and images.

Create, curate and execute content for the Professional Engagement Platform

Lead the recommendations for Artist communications strategies around marketing programs, messaging and campaigns, working closely with other team members to engage Aveda Artists globally.

Research and stay abreast of trends in consumer behavior, internet & social media behaviors and share knowledge with team.

Lead project planning meetings with the education, North America and social media teams.

Work closely with Regions and Affiliates to ensure successful execution of global campaigns that inform and engage artists, ensuring that any cross-promotional efforts are on-brand, strategic and managed properly.

Partner with the Education/Show Team to maximize real time content creation at live events (i.e. Congress, Fashion Week, NAHA etc.).

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Years of Experience: 6-8 years of digital and social marketing and public relations experience

% of Travel Time: 10%

Additional Job Specifications:

Digital fluency in the beauty and/or fashion landscape

Excellent project management, organizational and follow-up skills

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally

Knowledge and understanding of the salon industry and trade publications is a plus

Must be creative, resourceful and collaborative

Strong writing and effective communication skills

Acute understanding of and passion for social media, including social selling

Understanding of how to create content that draws an audience and starts a conversation

Must demonstrate a deep understanding of visually engaging content

Knowledge and experience optimizing content for social media

A passion for beauty, fashion and sustainability
