We are looking for a resourceful social media savant and content creator to lead our digital media accounts. This role represents a unique opportunity to own our brand's strategy and activity across social platforms, grow and retain a passionate audience base. You will also play an integral part in executing influencer and brand partnerships and e-mail marketing.

The ideal candidate for this position has had hands-on experience planning and executing social media organic and paid, developing social media content (and e-mail, blog, and website content), strong copywriting skills and a visual eye. You will own testing and measuring of all our social initiatives, optimizing for what drives engagement, conversions and audience growth across the various social platforms. The bulk of your experience may have come from being a social strategist or channel planner, but you've got a passion for creative expression, culture and understand the Rowan brand.

What You'll Work On

  • Develop overall organic social media strategy, audience growth plan, content calendar (across social, email, and web), and measurement/KPI framework with a focus on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and blogs.
  • Manage day-to-day activity across these platforms, from concept to execution
  • Collaborate across functional areas - especially with Growth/Performance Marketing, Community, and Customer Experience - to ensure osmosis of insights and consideration of other teams' needs and goals
  • Implement on-the-fly content capture and copy writing, across multiple channels.
  • Build Rowan's influencer program and execute brand partnerships.
  • Lead community management for a brand's social channels, and have the ability to own the brand's voice and drive conversation with followers
  • Identify, evaluate, brief, and manage individual creative, brand, publisher, and media partners for specific social content initiatives
  • Use first-, second-, and third-party data to surface and prioritize social content needs and grow our audience
  • Participate and understand youth and teen culture
  • Identify unique and interesting opportunities for storytelling and how to capture it for thumb-stopping content, while on brand for Rowan
  • Manage your own time and responsibilities. Some days you're at your desk others you're shooting content!

Requirements

  • 2-4 years in digital marketing and/or social media related position at an ecommerce, media, or related company, specifically handling a brand's handle across social and digital platforms.
  • A true passion for social media, bringing your own approach with a distinct voice and POV.
  • Expected to have mastery of the native features and functions.
  • Love for photography, even if it’s just with your iphone. You know all the best filters and apps!
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, plus self-starter, problem solver mentality.
  • Exceptional aesthetic, and verbal and written communication skills (specifically consumer facing copy for digital channels).
  • Direct experience in the following media types: Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, Snapchat
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs (what's trending, social-first concepts) and work with a strategy team to pull insights from social behaviors and data.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics, tracking and publishing/analytic toolsA self-starter with a hands-on approach who can prioritize effectively and juggle multiple projects with ease while meeting deadlines
  • Strategic and creative mindset, understanding the desired ROI and being able to maximize resources to drive the highest impact
  • Experience working with influencers and executing brand partnerships.

  • Comfortable wearing many hats
