Marketing Manager

Compensation: $24 to $30 Hourly

KelbyOne, an e-learning company and community for photographers, is in need of a Full-time Marketing Manager. The KelbyOne Marketing Manager will provide overall strategic leadership and coordination to ensure the Kelby brand is a leader in the industry through various efforts including: social media, paid search, affiliate marketing, email/direct messaging campaigns, graphics and other related material. This position requires the manager to successfully and strategically work with instructors, members, customer, employees, partners and the community to grow our product reach. The Marketing Manager will lead the marketing department to successfully reach new audiences and potential members as well as retain current customers.

Position Duties:

  • Provide solutions and guidance to senior leadership on key marketing strategies to grow the KelbyOne brand
  • Oversee day-to-day tasks of direct reports ensuring that all marketing employees are staying on task and contributing to the whole of the team and company
  • Manage affiliate programs, lead generation and all sales related activity
  • Collect and analyze performance data, develop monthly performance reports, and use the data to optimize retention and increase membership numbers
  • Manage paid media including social, Google and Bing ads
  • Build an influencer and evangelist program to further promote KelbyOne
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports; including but not limited to approving timesheets, PTO, managing annual reviews and holding employees accountable to expectations and goals
  • Research industry trends and solicit feedback from instructors, members and employees on how to improve marketing campaigns
  • Build a referral program
  • Create sales calendar and manage department around campaigns and sales promotions
  • Interview candidates and participate in talent acquisition activities as they arise
  • Attend and manage marketing functions at Kelby events, which may require travel both by air and automobile
  • Work with other departments and managers as projects arise to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met in a timely manner
  • Manage Direct Messaging/Email efforts and campaigns

Experience/Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Marketing or related fields or equivalent working experience
  • 4 years of related marketing experience
  • Advanced knowledge of social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumbler, etc), social media management, platforms, and tools for optimization.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Effective communicator who is comfortable in a fast paced environment and works effectively with a variety of internal teams.
  • Adaptable to change and ability to multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support maximum engagement with members
  • Knowledge of social reporting and analytics tools
  • Moderate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop skills

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage and mentor all assigned direct reports

Physical Requirements:

Must be available to travel as needed. Must be able to lift 25 or more pounds on an occasional basis. Position also requires walking, sitting, turning, repetitive motion on computer keyboard, and environmental conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
