Plastiq’s VP Marketing & Growth will be responsible for establishing a highly analytical, quant-focused marketing org. In partnership with Sales leadership, you will drive new customer acquisition, and revenue growth while strategically growing the organization. You will also take an active role in Brand strategy. This position requires an individual who is a leader of people and can inspire their team to achieve results, while staying close to the work to inform best practices.
This role will capitalize on your entrepreneurial drive, deep connection to the SMB sector, and experience building scalable marketing programs and practices. You and your team will build respect and confidence with your internal collaborators, with partners, with clients and with important decision makers across the ecosystem. You have the operational savvy to forge a strong brand identity and growth path for Plastiq, with the ability to leverage current successes, while using your natural curiosity to guide your team to what’s next.
Your responsibilities
- Build a high-volume lead engine that scales our business to the next level through leadership, innovation, and world-class execution and impact
- Channel responsibilities: paid social, affiliates, paid search, SEO, display, direct mail, podcasts, promotions, email (marketing and transactional), paid influencer marketing, referrals, and partnerships
- Develop long-term strategies with the product team to drive user growth
- Own analytics of the full funnel experience including insights, attribution and technology support
- Drive growth to increase value and impact of direct acquisition, content, and social efforts
- Determine relevant KPIs and measure ongoing lift from campaigns; use analytical resources to prioritize and optimize brand efforts
- Gather actionable customer insights to drive future marketing strategies and product innovation
- Drive segmentation and position of Plastiq features and new products to reinforce brand strategy
- Ensure consistency in our brand throughout our customer experience
- Hire, manage, and grow the team for all aspects of marketing
- Ensure that brand values and guidelines are followed across all channels, including but not limited to product, growth, social, PR, member services, and internal communications
- Lead the development and execution of PR strategy that tells the Plastiq story, adds brand depth, increases awareness, and builds trust and credibility with consumers and other stakeholders
Your experience
- 10+ years in performance-driven marketing, preferably with growth stage start-ups
- Track record of developing and leading successful Demand Generation strategies
- Experience working with Brand and PR teams
- Quantitative nature - experience with growth, ROI metrics, analytics
- Experience creating and managing streamlined budgets that support measurably impactful work
- Excellent communicator with an ability to work cross functionally and share big ideas through stories with a consistent voice
- Highly entrepreneurial with experience growing a small marketing teamHands on, execution oriented leader who can balance strategy and execution
