Social Media Coordinator

We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.

Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and “soft selling” the product by providing support to current and prospective customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer service, sales, etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
  • You will help with the development of strategic marketing programs and invite local consumers to be part of our brand community
  • You possess a deep understanding of our core consumers, and find opportunities to increase our relevance through new brand partnerships, event integrations, influencer relationships and other cultural connections
  • Build and maintain close collaboration with internal and external creative partners to ensure delivery of creative ideas that are brand-right and industry-leading
  • Develop and deliver strategic media plans to support key initiatives through successful management of publishers and agency partners - stretching budgets without compromising brand perception
  • Routinely share program results, industry trends and creative inspiration with the rest of the team to help keep them consumer-obsessed and results focused.
  • You will effectively help managing marketing program and media investment budgets in partnership with the Finance lead

Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • General knowledge of the top 4 social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest) and how to properly interact with fans
  • Copy writing skills
  • Email Marketing (Sending email blasts, newsletters, and promotions)
  • General customer support that comes through to my email and back up for support dept when needed
  • Strong Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom skills are a plus
  • Practical knowledge of email marketing
  • Strong collaborator, solutions-orientated, effective communicator – both verbal & written
  • Ability to extract insights from multiple data sources, and make informed, strategic decisions
  • Possesses a genuine love of pop culture and brand storytelling
