Retail Marketing & Communication Manager
diptyque- Luxury Fragrance House has established itself as one of the leading, innovative, heritage brands in the home and personal fragrance market today. We are recruiting an experienced, Retail Marketing & Communication Manager, responsible for building and driving the marketing and communications strategy and associated programs. This includes brand positioning, CRM, events, digital media, and public relations to drive brand awareness, desirability, and ultimately retail sales.
This role will report to the Director of Marketing, strong collaboration with Retail VP, Regionals, and store teams.
Key Accountabilities
Retail Marketing
- Lead retail marketing strategy, working with Marketing Director, Retail VP to develop strategic 360° launch plans by door that impact in-store traffic, retention, and customer acquisition.
- Oversees the total alignment of the marketing calendar and consumer engagement activities across all Media (non-digital and digital), Influencer relationships, Communications, CRM, New Product, GWP, Promotions, Events.
- Collaborate with CRM and social team to ensure alignment on communication calendars, amplify awareness marketing initiatives, Omni services, and key selling opportunities.
- Spearhead seasonal calls with boutique managers providing localized marketing support as needed.
- Forge meaningful relationships on the ground, acting as a leader for the retail management team.
- Execute highly elevated in store event with a strong focus on creating a positive client-centric experience by maximizing product offerings, services and building relationships.
- Find creative and forward-thinking solutions, leverage technology and innovation to bring a new dimension to events.
- Analyze retail marketing programs, event performance, and ROI. Turn data into tangible actions that benefit future programs and events.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with retail tenant marketing/PR teams and leverage marketing opportunities when brand appropriate.
- Provide digital assets regularly to support local traffic through center marketing vehicles.
- Ensure clear and concise store communication is developed for all retail marketing initiatives.
§ Seek out partnerships and cultural events to support retail network that support local and company objectives.
- Monitor and control marketing spend by line, by retail door.
- Meet regularly with the finance team to ensure budget alignment.
- Lead monthly marketing spend review.
PR/Communication
- Day to day liaison with the local PR agency to meet and exceed global objectives.
- Liaise between the US and French press teams on US-specific needs and requests.
- Assist in planning, organizing, managing regional press events.
- Assist in 360 ideation, communications strategy, influencers, product integration, experiential events, and partnerships.
- Hold desk sides with long lead editors and attend short lead events.
- Initiate, brief and work with agencies for organization of PR events (press-conferences, launches, image making events), control production, organization and follow up.
- Work in close cooperation with global product marketing team to ensure local needs, concerns are voiced.
- Assist on planning, organizing, managing of regional press events and press trips.
- Work with press/ecommerce/social teams on tone of voice, edit copy, text, as necessary.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role, preferable in retail environment
- Experience with developing and executing client-centric strategies within retail environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong visual communications skills i.e.: PowerPoint, Excel
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Excellent organization and leadership abilities.
- Strong project management and analytical skills
