Associate eCommerce Category Manager - Sundial Brands
Background and Purpose of Job
As an Associate eCommerce Category Manager, Sundial Brands for Unilever beauty and personal care (BPC) categories you’ll help lead and shape the thinking around how to drive the growth and innovation in the core eCommerce business. You will be a part of eCommerce marketing for BPC and will help to take the eCommerce consumer experience in BPC to new heights. You’ll help lead innovation on core portfolio and across white spaces in all relevant categories and brands in Unilever BPC online.
Note: This is a remote role for the short term but will ultimately work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office once the location fully reopens.

You create product mixes, innovate, optimize and learn on a regular basis.
You will be the Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) Lead for Sundial brands (SheaMoisture, Nubian Heritage and Emerge) and run point for marketing strategy, planning, development and execution to drive traffic and sales on the platform, and to build a virtuous cycle of data and personalization through full funnel and CRM integration. As a key consumer touch point, the sites must promote and deliver premium brand shopping experiences, while simultaneously achieving monthly sales targets, customer acquisition goals, and ensuring a positive user experience and increasing consumer lifetime value. The lead is also responsible for global roll out and international expansion of the Sundial portfolio of brand sites.

What You’ll Do
This person is responsible and accountable for driving design for eCommerce product mixes for Sundial brands across omnichannel and, in addition, would lead their DTC businesses as well. He or she will craft the marketing 6Ps and lead innovation networks, handle profit and loss (P&L) management and build new business models for categories/brands across BPC for consumers online.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead marketing efforts for launch of new U.S. eCommerce site(s), to drive revenue and brand growth and define the business model
- Develop marketing and customer acquisition strategies and implement across paid online channels, internally and with 3rd party vendors, to drive awareness, traffic and conversion, including: display, retargeting, social, SEM, SEO, referral, print, sponsorships, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing and PR to support growth plans and key initiatives
- Build and manage eCommerce marketing calendars to ensure maximum efficiency to drive revenue and manage the execution of the calendar
- Lead the deployment of design for eCommerce initiatives for the US. Build and drive innovation networks by coordinating with Supply Chain and R&D to create fit-for-channel product mixes for eCommerce channels
- Consult and impact on key national launches for BPC adapting and modifying for the channel
- Financial delivery and P&L lead – while the scope of this role is broad, the primary focus of this business leader will be driving profitable revenue growth
- Drive the e-NRM (Net Revenue Management) initiatives (assortment, price, pack, promotion)
- Identify new business opportunities, evaluate potential partnerships (i.e., gifting)
- Manage 3P partnerships and build new business models. Drive a portfolio and P&L differentiation strategy between 1P and 3P business, analyze and drive crucial levers and build new business models and pilots for core/new innovations
- Develop product, packaging, pricing recommendation and promotional strategy
- Ensure mixes launching in eCommerce are compliant with the channel requirements (profitability, Supply Chain, consumer, etc.)
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field (Master’s Degree welcomed)
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience across product innovation, with channel experience exclusive to eCommerce preferred
- Strong business and analytical acumen
- Ability to lead a cross functional team to deliver complex product innovation projects
- Proven track record in creation of world class product mixes and innovation, across 6Ps
- Proven track record of growing online sales and marketing through managing product assortment, enhanced content, media and product ratings and reviews on major omnichannel online retailers (Walmart, Target, Instacart, etc.)
- Knowledge of technical setup activities for eCommerce platforms
