The Misfits Market Senior Social Success & Community Manager will oversee our small but mighty Social Success team, one of the most important points of direct contact with the public, and be responsible for helping transform our happiest customers into our biggest brand advocates. You’ll also spot and nurture talent outside the existing Misfits Market communities for influencer campaigns and implement other community engagement strategies on and offline.

Who You Are

  • Someone who lives and breathes social. You’re aware of the latest memes and trends and you understand when it makes sense to leverage them to genuinely connect with audiences.
  • An expert on influencer marketing as a channel. You possess a deep understanding of best practices on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, and other emerging social media platforms.
  • Someone with keen judgment and talent-spotting skills. You have the ability to evaluate candidates on hard numbers as well as more ineffable qualities.
  • A superior communicator. You love to connect with others and you know just how to get at the heart of a community member’s issue and make them feel heard and understood with a well-crafted response.
  • An inspiring and empathetic manager. You have experience coaching an eager team and helping guide and encourage their career development.
  • Flexible by nature. You thrive in uncertain environments and can act decisively when priorities shift quickly.

You Will:

  • Identify opportunities to grow our brand presence and engagement across all online communities, and eventually offline as well.
  • Develop and manage influencer campaigns and brand ambassador programs.
  • Track and monitor KPIs, then analyze and effectively present distilled data to inform overall marketing campaigns and strategy.
  • Oversee the Social Success team, monitoring its productivity and guiding the career development of individual team members.
  • Work in concert with our Reputation Manager to encourage positive brand sentiment online.
  • Be the dedicated brand liaison for Misfits Market fan groups.
  • Assist the Senior Brand Manager with in-person community events as needed in the Northeast.

Qualified Candidates should possess the following:

  • Several years of direct social media experience with proven track record in community management
  • 1-2 years hands-on experience with influencer/ambassador marketing
  • People management skills
  • Startup experience is a plus!
