Social Media Specialist
Description
Shopbop is looking for a creative, analytical and strategic individual to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion through paid social initiatives. The position will utilize a combination of paid social program management, influencer management, community engagement, viral marketing, and on site opportunities, to drive the Shopbop social strategy. Successful candidates will possess a deep understanding of social media tactics and strategies, along with experience in overall online marketing.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all paid social media platforms from ideation, to paid content creation to implementation, management and reporting.
• Budget, forecast, analyze and report on pertinent customer revenue, orders and marketing expenses.
• Identify and own emerging paid platform strategy and execution, including mobile.
• Identify trends and new technology taking place in mobile, viral marketing, blog and social networking spheres to help us stay ahead of the curve.
• Identify and create programs and promotions to grow membership and engagement within the social media and community space that align with Shopbop corporate objectives.
• Manage Paid Social Media budget and create analytics to quantify and qualify effectiveness of interactive campaigns.
• Collaborate and maintain close relationship with traffic organization to maximize reach of social media efforts
• Strategize global blog approach and strategy.
• Develop and manage relationships with social platforms, creative, and content providers, in the Fashion, Accessories and Lifestyle categories.
• Package and place original and syndicated content (video, etc.) through appropriate social channels.
• Monitor on-line conversations to determine reach and impact with on-line consumers.
• Work across departments to ensure alignment of all initiatives across all channels
• Drive compelling multi platform paid social strategy, designed to accomplish larger corporate objectives
Basic Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or related field required
• 5 + years of concentrated experience with digital marketing platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, SNAP, Tik Tok, Twitter, mobile, social media, social commerce and display; proven ability to significantly drive engagement and conversion.
• Multi-tasker who is well organized, with impeccable written and oral presentation skills
• Strong analytical capability with experience in forecasting and website analytics
• Excellent project management skills
• Creative thinker who can be both innovative while execution oriented.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence management
Preferred Qualifications
• Software Skills: Adobe Photoshop, Photo editing, HTML experience, Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Mastery in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Online Marketing, Influencer marketing, Blogs, Social Media, & Web Analytics (Adobe preferred)
• Background in fashion ecommerce
