Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an energetic and dynamic influencer who is passionate about helping improve the lives of those in the Eugene Field Community. This position will focus on engaging partner organizations and residents of the Eugene Field Community for the JosFirst program while executing strategic priorities in the areas of recruitment, training, and data management. This role will wear many hats: developing strategic partnerships with key community and business partners, conducting training and workshops in the community, increasing exposure to and awareness of the no-cost services and training we offer, and connecting potential participants with our services.

The Primary Responsibilities of the JobsFirst Coordinator Include:

Driving Results

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the JobsFirst program objectives by leading and providing day-to-day oversight of operational functions to achieve program sustainability and success in accordance with defined outcomes and goals.
  • Create and implement data-driven program recruitment strategies, cultivate relationships with community partners and consistently report progress to the Executive Director on outcomes and program updates
  • Record daily activity in Salesforce online database and report on weekly and monthly activity including partner outreach, meetings, events, presentations, and more
  • The JobsFirst Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the JobsFirst program and supervising the JobsFirst Coach

Coaching

  • Assisting target residents with self-directed job search to obtain meaningful employment
  • Partnering with case managers to conduct outreach to residents about JobsFirst
  • Creating a career plan with the target residents to set career goals and motivate them toward training and employment

Relationship Building

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community and faith-based organizations throughout Tulsa to support the JobsFirst program through individual outreach, networking activities, and participation in community events
  • Conducting one-on-one advising sessions with residents at JobsFirst office or other locations as needed
  • Work in tandem with the Business Services team to gain new business partners that will support training and job placement opportunitiesJobsFirst participants customers

Communication

  • Provide weekly on-site career readiness classes
  • Deliver short-term and stand-alone soft skills and career skills workshops
  • Coordinate with staff regarding coverage and responsibilities for outreach and recruitment events
  • Assist in the awareness of JobsFirstby identifying and participating in engagement opportunities
  • Leverage social media as a communications platform to build awareness and engaging with the JobsFirst community

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree strongly preferred
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and motivation to accelerate a start-up initiative
  • Desire to work as part of a team dedicated to achieving excellent results while maintaining an evolving, positive and energetic workplace
  • Independent, self-starter with a new program or start-up experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
  • Experience with training or teaching is preferred
  • Some evening and weekend work required
  • Must have proficient computer skills and experienced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Google Drive, with the ability to adapt to new equipment and technology
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
  • Must be able to visit multiple off-site locations on a regular basis around Tulsa using personal transportation
