Primary Objective

The Assistant Manager will support the day-to-day development and execution of Global Communications and Influencer Marketing strategies, initiatives and activations. This role will help identify influencers, partners and talent for all Global programs, with a special focus on China/Greater China relevant talent. This position will aide in liaising with regions, PR Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication across all programming.

  • Influencers (30%)
    • Act as the key lead on China influencer landscape and stay current on up and coming / rising talent in China/Greater China
    • Assist in identifying influencers for NPL and campaigns; liaise with Regions for recommendations
    • Keep a pulse on the influencer landscape, including fashion/lifestyle influencers, celebrities, artists, musicians
    • Manage logistics and coordination for all Global appearances and content shoot
    • Lead Advocacy Strategy and develop Playbook for local market execution
    • Assist in development of yearly Influencer Strategy and guidelines/tools as needed
    • Manage influencer reporting dashboards and provide necessary analytics for influencer identification and performance recaps
  • Product Launches & Campaigns (30%)
    • Proactively brainstorm with team to develop innovative and engaging influencer and communications strategies
    • Manage GC strategy for all 3-star programs and select 4/5-star programs; collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete asset checklist, channel brief and Go-to-Market Toolkit
    • Manage asset creation and guidelines for all launches including creative mailers, event guidelines, influencer content guidelines, press releases, Q&As and product presentations
    • Manage creative mailer strategy and collaborate with Creative Packaging to develop globally produced creative mailers; manage all market forecasts
    • Liaise with Product Marketing and markets for all launch recap needs
  • Global Events/Activation (25%)
    • Assist in the planning and execution of Global influencer activations (1-2 times per year)
    • Lead all influencer/advocacy Global pilot events and develop guidelines for local market execution
    • Develop Global influencer activation recaps and key learnings
  • Market (10%)
  • Manage Global spokespeople and ambassador requests for interview and in-person appearances; liaise with market to manage their proposals, brief/prep ambassadors and travel into market with ambassadors as needed
  • Manage and coordinate international editor / influencer visits to Lab/Spa de la Mer on behalf of markets
  • Assist markets with ad hoc asset requests
  • Administrative (5%)
    • Manage all SAP invoicing and International team CMC reconciliation
    • Manage market rebills
    • Manage product closet and Global partner/ambassador send outs
    • Manage ad hoc market requests for samples/products not readily available in market

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Communications, Influencer Marketing or Event/Agency experience
  • Bachelor degree
  • Strong understanding of China/Greater China region and cultural nuances preferred; fluent or conversational in Mandarin a plus
  • Ability to own and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal/written communications and presentation skills
  • Detail and process-oriented, organized, resourceful and proactive
  • Collaborative and positive team player
  • Strong understanding and experience of social media across all platforms; China social platforms a plus
  • Ability to accommodate early morning or night calls with international markets (2-3 hours/month); travel to markets (2-3 times/year)
  • Strong PowerPoint skills; proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel; can work on both MAC and PC
