Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain client relationships and become the main point of contact for your peer brand manager levels
- Develop a deep understanding of client's business in order to deliver strategic and creative campaigns against briefs
- Provide considered counsel, feedback and insights to clients on a day-to-day basis
- Lead client meetings where required. Present status updates, plans and proposals in a professional & knowledgeable manner
- Lead execution projects following briefing from line manager. Support in presentation, implementation and review
- Support line managers on proactive pitch ideas to the client
- Develop concepts for generating media coverage
- Proactively pitch and secure media opportunities for brands
- Ensure that plans deliver scope for media angles and proactively create new ideas, ensuring opportunities for optimum coverage at all times for local teams
- Develop and nurture strong media and industry contacts to leverage content and partnership opportunities as well as securing regular pieces of coverage
- Show an in-depth understanding of the media landscape, ensuring that you stay abreast of key international senior press and publication information
- Show an in-depth understanding of the blogger/vlogger and influencer network ensuring that you stay abreast of key UK bloggers, vloggers and influencers
- Event management including press trips, sponsored shoots, product launches and macro activity
- Excellent knowledge of the social media landscape, provide strategic recommendations to clients, showing a comprehensive understanding of social media issues & its impact on PR/Comms plans
- Lead, organise and participate in internal brainstorming sessions
- Ensure team is monitoring media daily, including newspapers, magazines, broadcast, online & social channels for client opportunities and to keep abreast of competitor news - provide added value insight and counsel to clients
- Manage the delivery of activity reports, ensure timely delivery for appropriate sign off
- Deliver internal and external documents with a keen attention to detail
- Ensure that all client & internal deadlines are respected and adhered to (for you & direct reports)
- Ensure all direct reports and wider team is clear on their roles and responsibilities both short and long term and any concerns are raised with your line manager
- Provide direction/leadership, support and guidance for any direct report
- Support in identifying and presenting opportunities to organically grow existing client business by proactively pitching more PR or Seen Group integrated ideas
- Support senior team in researching and inputting into new business proposals, as required
- Negotiate effectively with suppliers and brand partners where necessary, including client budgets and scope of work
- Engage with the wider agency
- Ensure client is aware of the wider services on offer from the Seen Group
- Demonstrate ability to effectively negotiate with clients and key suppliers to deliver projects on time with creative budget solutions delivering a best in class service for your client/s
- Fully understand and manage client finances and billing processes
- Create budget planners for projects/ campaigns ensuring mark up is considered when billing (for non-transparent clients)
- Monitor budget per project and client including expenses on a monthly basis flagging any issues with your line manager
- Manage the junior team in setting up new suppliers, raising PO's and recording costs and inputting into job bags
Requirements:
- Currently operating as an Account Manager in beauty PR
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years PR experience with 2 years minimum in the beauty industry
- Robust experience in Press Management with excellent relationships
- Previous management experience
- Influencer marketing expertise
