Public Relations Intern

Champion is one of the fastest growing PR and Branding agencies in Dallas. We are looking for a Public Relations intern to help us keep our clients in the headlines.

We are seeking a part to full time PR Intern for our home office in Addison. Working closely with Champion’s award-winning PR team, our intern will receive real-world experience by participating in client campaigns, assisting with local store marketing projects and attending client events.

Responsibilities include:

Compile Local Restaurant Marketing plans customized for each client and market

Compile VIP lists for client restaurant openings or remodels

Contact groups as needed for information in compiling LRM plans or VIP lists

Assist tracking media coverage for assigned clients and compiling media recaps

Assist tracking social media coverage for assigned clients and compiling recaps

Develop custom media lists as needed

Develop custom influencer lists as needed

Support Account Service team and/or the Media team with calls or emails to the media

Support Account Service team with communications to influencers

Report to Marketing Specialist on a daily basis, and respond to additional requests to support client deliverables

The ideal candidate is a college senior pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related discipline; is detail-oriented; a team player who is also comfortable working independently and with limited supervision; has excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills; is energetic, organized and self-motivated.
