Who we are and who we’re looking for:
Toast Media Group is a digital marketing collective based in Brooklyn. We work with a wide range of clients — media companies, e-commerce startups, digital services, community-driven platforms and influential individuals — to connect their brands to their customers in the places where they’re spending time. We take an audience-first approach to all of our work, moving backward from where consumers are to develop strategies that work with the digital ecosystem, not against it. Our services include: social media management, email marketing, partnerships, creative strategy, influencer marketing, search engine optimization and more.
We’re looking for someone to join our small but growing team to work on content strategy development and copywriting across multiple clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop narrative-driven and conversion-focused social media and email marketing content strategy for clients across industries
- Manage brand social media and email content calendars
- Work with creative lead to develop content that is visually and textually engaging
- Pivot between brand voices to create engaging social media and email copy that speaks to a brand’s ethos and objectives
- Provide client updates to managing partners and liaise directly with clients
- Work with managing partners to create content strategy presentations for incoming clients that include smart content ideas
- Track marketing channel growth for assigned clients and identify growth opportunities based on historical performance
- General project assistance when requested

- Willingness to learn: We’re looking for someone who is excited about learning new systems and tools even if they could get by without knowing them

- Desire to work towards an internal leadership position
Qualifications:
- Comfort with client relations: An ideal candidate knows how to interact with clients, present logical and concise ideas and relay updates/feedback to the larger team
- Ability to craft and present creative marketing initiatives
- Engaging and clean copywriting and general communication skills with an understanding of platform-first tone
- Familiarity with email service providers (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, etc)
- Demonstrated understanding of social media and email marketing landscape — where it is and where it’s going — and how it impacts clients
- Instinctual data-driven approach to everything you do from content to creative
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that pivots quickly
