Good American has redefined what it means to be sexy and is knocking down outdated stereotypes. You will join a team of seasoned fashion and digital executives and help guide the brand on its rapid growth. As our Director of Brand Marketing, you’ll collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and management. We need a leader to drive our organization’s brand strategy, but someone who also isn’t afraid to dive into the details within projects and campaigns. You will be responsible for running the day to day operations of the Marketing team, with a focus on setting the strategy for demand generation through a combination of digital and events-based channels.

THE RIGHT APPLICANT WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE IN DIRECT-TO-CONSUMER FASHION, BEAUTY OR LIFESTYLE PRODUCTS, AS WELL AS A PASSION FOR POP CULTURE AND FASHION. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST BE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT CURRENT TRENDS & CONVERSATIONS TAKING PLACE WITHIN THE INDUSTRY.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the SVP of Marketing in development of marketing strategies/plans and execute them to grow GOOD AMERICAN awareness, audience, sales and brand affinity
  • Lead Social Media and PR teams to drive day-to-day marketing and communications strategy and ensure team creativity, productivity and efficiency
  • Create and own cross-functional marketing programs that connect the brand with consumers in unique and compelling ways
  • Guide PR agencies with strategy & information, serving as a day-to-day point of contact, to secure relevant coverage
  • Work directly with Influencer, Editorial & Acquisition teams to ensure that marketing programs are aligned with company mission and amplified across appropriate channels
  • Serve as lead marketing point of contact for talent, retailers and philanthropy partners
  • Develop partnerships pipeline that identify & execute co-marketing initiatives to grow sales, audience and brand affinity
  • Regularly communicate project progress to all stakeholders, seeking approval/feedback throughout process
  • Provide analysis of ROI to evaluate the success of brand initiatives and to inform future planning
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, social media, and experiential landscape to inform all existing materials and/or inspire the development of new materials and experiences

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, English or relevant field
  • 5-7 years experience in marketing for fashion, beauty, entertainment, DTC or adjacent brand or agency
  • Experience managing multiple team members, as well as PR, experiential and social agencies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Passion for pop culture and fashion, must be knowledgeable about current trends & conversations taking place within the industry
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, time management skills and demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot and provide strategies and solutions.
  • Team-oriented but not afraid to take initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outside-the-box thinker
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook), Adobe, Google Docs
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Shopify (or similar CMS), social media metrics & email marketing metrics
  • Familiar with social analytics & listening tools like HootSuite, Sprout Social, Planoly, Curalate, UnionMetrics, etc.; Understanding of email marketing KPIs a plus
  • Mac and PC proficient
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
