Associate Director of Distribution (Paid Social and Influencer Marketing)
Social Chain is looking for a Distribution Lead to join the team. They will lead the Paid Social and Influencer Marketing team and be responsible for the operational management of those teams; reporting to the VP of Operations. Alongside this, they will be a key strategic lead on top tier retainer accounts and work alongside Directors and Managers on securing new business. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to developing overarching strategy proposals, planning, implementing, and overseeing the execution of these, presenting plans and proposals to clients, evaluation of reports, and developing holistic strategy as a result of findings. At times there will be requirements to get stuck into some of the day-to-day, but primarily the job leans toward the operational management of the team and strategic development of our clients' paid social and influencer activity.
Core Responsibilities
- Process & Co-ordination Planning and Execution to ensure an efficient workflow for the Distribution team (Paid Social and Influencer teams).
- Develop and manage the Distribution team to keep them best in class, aligning with company development plans and latest paid social and influencer marketing training.
- Key strategic lead on top-tier clients - which may include media planning, strategy deck building, and support on larger quarterly/full year analysis reporting. This may on the occasion have an element of campaign builds and some of the day-to-day
- Strategy overseer on all clients ensuring the team is executing plans in line with strategy and objectives. (Supported by Director)
- Key point of contact on new business proposals for Paid Social, working with Directors and Managers on the wider team to encourage a collaborative approach.
- Develop our Paid Social offering, as well as our influencer offering alongside your team, leads to ensure we are positioned as first in class within the industry.
- Maintain relationships with platform and agency contacts and ensure we are at the forefront of what is achievable through those platforms.
- With regard to the Influencer team specifically alongside your team gather, nurture, grow and manage vetted influencers and creators to create a proprietary network of influencers.
- Working with the VP of Operations, Introduce efficiencies and systems to best collaborate with key stakeholders in and outside of the business, to support and drive your team and their work forward.
- Drive innovation and broader digital thinking within the team and ensure we are up-skilling wider teams on Paid Social and Influencer Marketing capabilities and services.
- Manage budget streams and ensure teams are accountable for budget tracking and campaign optimization.
Candidate Requirements
Ideal candidate
- Solid experience in people management and development
- Very Strong Paid Social experience across multiple platforms
- Strong understanding of tracking and measurement within the digital realm
- Experience developing and leading strategy, with prior experience of understanding how these are executed
- Has worked collaboratively with wider social teams (Organic, Influencer, Creative)
- Keen sense of commercial acumen and understanding of profit and loss for each client and the agency
- Consistently upskilling their knowledge around the ever-changing social landscape, paid social developments, and technologies
- Organized and well versed in project managing campaigns
- Desired but not essential - Strategic planning for revenue and team growth (internally)
