MOXY HOTELS OVERVIEW:

Lightstone developed and owns Moxy Times Square, Moxy Chelsea, and Moxy East Village in New York City and Moxy South Beach in Miami. The company is also developing a dual branded Moxy / AC Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles as well as Moxy Lower East Side and Moxy Williamsburg in New York, all scheduled to open in 2022.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Marketing Director guides the Lightstone Moxy portfolio’s robust marketing and PR efforts. Additionally, the Marketing Director will assist Lightstone’s Chief Marketing Officer on spearheading the Pre-Opening Marketing Critical Paths for Moxy / AC DTLA, Moxy Lower East Side, and Moxy Williamsburg (all opening 2022!). The Marketing Director is resourceful, organized, digitally savvy, and has a great creative eye. The ideal Marketing Director has direct experience with:

  • Guiding Creative Agencies & Graphic Designer on Creative Needs – providing clear / detailed instruction
  • Managing Content Management Systems
  • Hotel Digital Marketing
  • Marketing Swag / Promo Item Sourcing, Branding, Fulfillment (i.e. for media mailers, hotel packages, amenities)

Our marketing department is growing and the Marketing Director will also work closely with a NYC Moxy Marketing Manager, an NYC Programming / Experience Director, Miami Marketing Manager, and an LA Marketing Manager. Additionally, the Marketing Director will partner with the Food & Beverage operator’s marketing contact on packages / promotions and activations. The Marketing Director will report directly to Lightstone’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Creative Services

  • Works with Agency to guide creative and create templates for collateral, decks, and fliers
  • Work with Graphic Designer to maintain and Update Marketing / Sales Presentation Decks. Create new marketing decks and assets when needed
  • VIP Swag & Media Mailer Creative & Sourcing

Digital / Social

  • Collaborate and Guide NYC Marriott Digital Services Account Manager for (web updates, email marketing, SEO, paid media reporting)
  • Website: Assist with content management for Hotel Marriott.com sites + vanity site via Wordpress CMS
  • Monitor guest facing touchpoints (i.e. QR code updates, Pre-Arrival Emails, TV Compendiums, Elevator Screens) to ensure new & accurate information is updated across platforms; provide new information updates to key partners
  • Manages Social Agency to develop hotel's online identity + voice via organic content, paid advertising and community engagement strategies (giveaways, etc.)
  • Oversee social ad budget and guide social agency on ads
  • Social Content Calendar & Influencer approvals / activations
  • Photo / Video Shoots: Oversee content shoots, develop shortlist, coordinate talent

Public Relations

  • Maintain & Update Hotel Press Materials
  • Guide PR Agency on Hotel Pitches on Promotions & Programming
  • Assist in various proof reading and editing of various marketing and press materials
  • Generate PR worthy ideas for the hotel

Programming / Packages / Partnerships

  • Brainstorm new activations and programming ideas
  • Assistance with on-going programming when needed (#SweatatMoxy, Game Night, Pop-Ups)
  • Identify prospective marketing partnerships and assist in various duties related to current partners
  • Obtaining local partnerships for hotels / perks for hotel guests
  • Generate new package ideas with Sales & Revenue team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 4 years marketing experience
  • Minimum 1-year hospitality marketing experience required (prefer 2-year experience)
  • Highly organized
  • Hotel programming experience (fitness classes, pop ups, product drops, live music, happy hours) – highly preferred not required
  • Opening a hotel or worked on Pre-Opening Hotel Marketing Initiatives – highly preferred not required
  • Marriott experience (working with MDS and Field Marketing) – highly preferred not required
  • Proficiency of PowerPoint, MS WORD, Excel required
  • Knowledge of Wordpress preferred
  • Knowledge of Marriott systems preferred but not required
