VP / Head of Content Marketing

Comprised of senior product leaders supported by talented ICs and a team of remote specialists, we formulate hypotheses and drive towards MVP to validate on real-world data and iterate towards product market fit. What you'll do
We're looking to partner with an innovative, startup-minded content marketing executive to lead all of content marketing across our portfolio of products. This is a greenfield opportunity to take a portfolio of social commerce products with strong organic presence and craft content strategies from scratch, building your execution plan and assembling the tools and team you need to craft, produce and distribute world-class content. Specific responsibilities of this role:
- Understand our business objectives across our ecosystem of social commerce apps, experiences and platforms and establish clear content marketing priorities and OKRs.
- Quickly become the subject matter expert across our various product verticals (e-commerce reviews, deals, influencer commerce) and create engaging thought leadership content pieces that command attention and drive conversation.
- Define innovative demand generation strategies as appropriate for each product and vertical. Execute content distribution via influencer marketing, outreach, partnerships, social media (organic and paid), SEO / SEM, and email.
- Develop clear content strategy based on buyer personas grounded in research.
- Conduct competitive analysis and keyword research and establish measurement practices to ensure content performance metrics are being hit.
- Develop brand and style guides for content. Ensure consistency in brand voice and narrative across product touch points with users.
- Craft copy for landing pages and product touch points. Design and run A/B copy tests, monitor content performance and translate observations to action items.
- Build and manage a winning content team of in-house and freelance writers, designers and and content managers.
About you
You have a track record of creating, optimizing and distributing engaging content and meets performance objectives.
You're a gifted content creator. You have an instinct for audiences and know what will resonate, even in more technical, dense topics. You can spot talent in writers, designers and content creators and know how to motivate and lead a winning content tema.
You know how to generate earned media via outreach and partnerships, you have a solid understanding of social channels (organic and paid) and other distribution channels including native ads and email.
You have a solid grounding in SEO. You understand how to drive rankings via keyword research, topical authority and information architecture. You understand content outreach and link building methodologies.
You're a startup co-founder at heart. You're an entrepreneurial Head of Content who is equally at home getting your hands dirty in the details of execution as you are crafting a brand strategy.
