Shop Latinx is a community of brilliant creators and entrepreneurs with rich stories and deeply intentional practices. Each brand on the site was born from a labor of love, and we value our partnership with these makers above everything else. We’ve curated SLX to highlight the multiplicity of Latinidad and showcase distinctive products that have been made with purpose, love and so much soul. Our hope is for the Latinx community to feel seen and celebrated with an intentional shopping space that was created by Latinxs and speaks to everyone who loves, lives and celebrates our culture.
Our Team
We’re a small, but mighty team that’s passionate about celebrating our Latinidad and showcasing the brilliance and multiplicity of our culture. We’re set on creating the leading e-commerce marketplace for the Latinx and BIPOC community by holding true to our core values: Intention, Empathy, Abundance, Collective Power, Continual Growth and Celebration of Culture. While we each hold ourselves accountable for our own tasks and deliverables, we work collaboratively and support one another consistently to reach our collective goals.
The Role
We’re looking for a star Community Lead + Social Media Manager to strengthen and expand our beautiful online community. You’ll be creating relationships with new creators, entrepreneurs and influencers across all our social platforms, as well as fostering long-standing connections with people already within our community. Working closely with our Content Marketing Manager and Head Designer, you’ll be curating content, developing storylines and brainstorming new ways to intentionally engage our audience on social. You’ll lead all outreach with creators and influencers for social features and partnerships, and you’ll support our internal communication with the brands on the SLX marketplace. Most importantly, you’ll be connecting with our community personally and creating a loving, empathetic and motivating space for our audience to feel seen and welcomed.
The Responsibilities
- Build and manage a network of content creators and influencers
- Work with the Content Manager to develop and own a social calendar to guide the creation of relevant content
- Lead content production and vision for asset creation
- Help shape and implement our community and influencer marketing strategies
- Foster SLX’s relationship with our thriving online community — you’ll be communicating directly with the SLX community via Instagram DMs, Tweets and TikTok messages
- Support internal marketing communication with all the brands on the marketplace
Skills/Requirements We’re Looking For
- Proven track record of community/social media management for a brand
- A knack for sourcing relevant content across IG, TikTok and Twitter (i.e. your “saved” folder on IG is filled with cool content from a wide variety of accounts 😎).
- Thrives on creating original memes, brainstorming concepts for social graphics and working with our designer to bring original video content to life
- A high cultural IQ when it comes to the Latinx community. We’re looking for someone who is deeply tapped into both Gen-Z and Millennial trends/language/humor.
- Creative, but also strategic and data-driven. We’re looking for someone who is an expert at pulling and analyzing social media metrics and optimizing for engagement and ROI.
- Must be incredibly organized, self-directed and be able to prioritize workload independently. Strong time management is a must.
- Experience with copywriting/editing for a brand is a huge plus. This role will serve as the voice of SLX across all socials, and we’re looking for someone who can easily write out sharp social captions that sound natural, yet intentional.
- An all-around team player. We’re a small, but passionate team that thrives on supporting one and another.

Location: Remote, primarily PST hours
Employment Type: Contract
Salary: $45-$50k DOE
