Position Overview
Payability is looking for a VP of Growth Marketing to drive new customer acquisition through all major online and offline marketing channels. This role will manage the marketing budget and report to the CEO. Success in this role will be measured by the quantity and quality of leads generated through marketing activities for Payability’s financing solutions.
The VP of Growth Marketing will be expected to allocate marketing resources effectively, and in a data-driven way, across all channels including PPC media, SEO, organic social media, influencer marketing, direct mail, and email marketing, as well as be able to structure and run high leverage AB tests, make improvements to landing pages and optimize post-account creation drip campaigns.
The ideal candidate will also be able to build upon and expand the brand that Payability has built by managing the PR effort and corporate communications. Lastly, central to success in this role will not only be the ability to drive new creative marketing campaigns from idea to execution, but also to be able to confidently assess and communicate performance of campaigns to the rest of the team.
Responsibilities
- Drive lead volume into the top of the sales funnel for Payability’s financing solutions
- Set the marketing strategy and manage the marketing budget to accomplish goals
- Test new channels, strategies, targeting methods, content and creative
- Optimize current channels, strategies, targeting methods, content and creative
- Manage the Payability brand and communications across all public channels
- Manage PR campaigns and corporate communications
- Use analytics tools to make data-driven decisions and improve the analytics infrastructure as needed
- Communicate to all stakeholders the results of tests, current strategies and new ideas
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a marketing role (B2B ideally) at a high growth tech company
- Deep experience marketing to and acquiring small to medium sized business customers
- Be highly self-motivated and driven to succeed in a fast-paced startup environment
- Have deep knowledge and experience in all major channels available to marketers today including but not limited to PPC media, SEO, organic social media, influencer marketing, direct mail, and email marketing
- Ability to structure and run high leverage AB tests, make improvements to landing pages and optimize post-account drip campaigns
- Have an understanding of the role brand decisions play in customer acquisition
- Ideally the right candidate will have management experience of a team and a substantial marketing budget
- Demonstrated analytical skills required to analyze and optimize various marketing campaigns and efforts
- Fintech and/or ecommerce experience preferred but not required
- Have an inquisitive mind and be a voracious learner of the latest growth strategies and tactics
- Be able to communicate effectively both internally and externally through written, oral and quantitative methods
- Be passionate about fintech, ecommerce and helping SMBs grow
