- The Director, SEO role requires an individual who is prepared to take a strategic role using SEO best practices to define the optimization, implementation, and tracking strategies for clients across multiple industries. They are incredibly organized, creative, innovative, intellectually curious (able to keep up with algorithm changes/tools/trends), a natural problem solver and have the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Lead constant evolution of the SEO process across all three pillars: technical, content, and engagement
- Collaborate with UX, Development, Creative and Content, Social, and Paid Media teams on developing best in class digital marketing campaigns.
- Lead the prioritization of optimizations based on budget, optimization impact, and client goals.
- Write and present client reports that include insights, actionable next steps that are focused on reaching client goals and KPI’s.
- Monitor organic search growth and be able to attribute back to optimizations
- Contribute SEO process details and define deliverables for scope of works
- Manage and mentor team members in implementation of search engine optimizations and mentor to evolve hard and soft skills
- Conduct SEO site audits encompassing both on and off site ranking factor analysis
- Identify SEO related growth opportunities for a variety of businesses and organizations ranging from brand new urls as well as established sites
- Support the Account Service and Project Management teams to stay on budget and within project timelines
- Continue to evolve the process for inbound link analysis reports and link building strategies which can include brand partnerships, influencer marketing team members, PR, and social media engagement recommendations
- Conduct SEO training to internal team members and clients
- Research and analyze impact of industry changes/developments in SEO
- Ad hoc analysis to support integrated media team decision making
