Director, New Business Strategy
Who YOU AreBEN is seeking a Director of New Business Strategy for its high growth Influencer Marketing division reporting directly to the Head of New Business Strategy. This dynamic and collaborative leader will partner closely with BEN’s Client Development team to develop a strong vision for how BEN can create unique, innovative, and culturally relevant solutions to meet our client’s business challenges across a wide range of categories including lifestyle, tech, beauty, gaming, fintech, CPG and more. This role is both cross-functional and client facing and the ideal candidate will lead through influence, be an inspiring storyteller, and passionate about the power of branded content.

Responsibilities
- Be an indispensable partner for BEN’s Client Development team who drives the creation of client presentations and represents BEN at client meetings across verticals and at all level of a client’s organization
- Serve as a cross functional “quarterback” to ensure strategies leverage the full scope of BEN’s capabilities and align them closely with clients’ goals and industry/content trends
- Partner with BEN’s Insights team to identify client-specific and vertical insights and trends that will inspire clients to partner with BEN and tap into the full power of influencer marketing
- Be a product expert who understands our BEN’s Influencer business inside and out and can tap into BEN’s latest capabilities and proprietary AI and technology to help clients achieve their marketing goals
- Drive ideation around new and innovative ways to “package” and sell BEN’s offerings including organic, paid, earned, etc.
- Coach and mentor a junior team of strategists and create new ways to drive learning and development as well as build scale
Qualifications
- 6+ years in an integrated marketing or strategy role at an agency, focused on content marketing, social media, influencer marketing, etc.
- The ability to bring ideas grounded in trends, insights and data to life and to present them both verbally and in a written capacity
- Excellent presentation and persuasion skills; ability to argue a point-of-view coherently and concisely; able to speak authoritatively, without seeming inflexible
- Understanding of how organic content, paid media, earned media and social media play in the overall communications marketing mix and how best to leverage each for success
- Curiosity about what makes people act and think the way they do; able to find meaningful insights about motivation and craft powerful narratives to deliver that story
- Able to examine a problem from different perspectives (and alternate strategic routes) without losing sight of the big picture
- Demonstrated ability to drive and foster collaboration both internally and with clients
- Experience managing a small team
- Experience working with sales RFPs
Preferred Experience
- Experience with third party search tools (Tubular, Dovetail, Statista, etc)
- Experience within the influencer marketing industry
