We're looking for a Community Manager to join our team and own responsibility for increasing Subspace’s visibility and awareness among gamers - our end users - and game companies - our customers - through social media and influencer marketing channels and initiatives. As one component of building Subspace’s following, you will lead our influencer marketing strategy and execution. You will build and leverage relationships with content creators on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook Gaming and other emerging channels, and collaborate with internal teams as well as external partners to elevate Subspace’s positioning, branding, and platform. You will facilitate and participate in conversations related to lag and network latency, and will help establish Subspace as the authority on those topics. You will also be the voice on Subspace’s owned social channels, building connections with gamers as well as game companies through a multi-channel approach spanning social media, voice chat platforms, and forums. This work includes executing social media marketing campaigns that support and elevate Subspace’s visibility to our customers and the gaming community at large.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop strategic campaigns that leverage both paid and earned content creators
- Establish personal relationships within the content creator community – know the right people and the right pitch to attract their participation to raise awareness around lag and network latency, and Subspace’s platform
- Develop comprehensive reporting to track influencer campaign impact, including analysis of impact
- Help shape the narrative around Subspace storylines across social media channels
- Partner with external agencies and internal teams to produce the content necessary to communicate with game companies and players
- Proactively communicate top conversations going on in the network infrastructure and multiplayer gaming community to keep Subspace informed of priorities, situations, hot topics & trends
- Build and socialize communications and editorial plans internally seeking alignment with the various marketing functions & channels
What You Bring To The Table
- 3+ years in the gaming or entertainment space with proven experience creating programs and active dialogue that have successfully grown over time
- Established contacts with multi-channel networks and influencer management agencies
- Passion for video games and deep experience with and understanding of online multiplayer games
- Strong understanding of and interest in online multiplayer gaming trends and content creator programs
- Ability to identify and foster relationships with relevant influencers and creators on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, etc.
- Experience working with influencers to promote business services and technology
- Understanding of digital and social media marketing in addition to appropriate metrics of success
- Your strengths as a flexible, motivated self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to leverage both critical thinking and creativity
