... Marketing Lead
As Hive’s brand marketing lead, you’ll be responsible for defining our overall organic marketing strategy, including social media, influencer strategy, PR, and partnerships. You’ll work closely with our internal creative team to develop our monthly content calendar, and guide the team to seamless execution that meets our shared strategy and objectives. The right candidate should be familiar running campaigns on multiple channels including paid digital, organic social, and influencers; they should also have experience gaining earned media, coordinating on site merchandising, and ideating on experiential events. They are deeply steeped in brand strategy and will help as we continue to evolve our positioning and key messaging. They understand how to translate that strategy to channel-specific content and tactics, and pull everything together to help drive customer growth and retention. They are highly organized and know how to galvanize a project across multiple teams to achieve their stated objectives. This role will report into Hive’s co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer.
Responsibilities
At Hive, you will:
- Build and own organic marketing strategy with the goal of driving customer growth and engagement. Develop an annual plan, aligning with key moments for product launches, creative campaigns, and cultural relevance among our target audience
- Lead PR efforts, including agency management, strategy, and execution of tactics that will garner earned media and help make Hive a household name
- Own content calendar, closely aligning initiatives and channels so that we’re communicating the same messages at key moments and utilizing organic channels to amplify those messages
- Work closely with internal creative team to guide and execute monthly social calendars and execute content for organic social
- Work closely with Chief Commercial Officer to evolve brand positioning and messaging, and ensure all campaigns are in alignment with our positioning
- Run and execute partnerships with a variety of different constituents, including but not limited to:
- Hive’s brand partners
- Content partners
- Likeminded brands
- Cause partners
- Build out of influencer community with the goal of driving customer acquisition and conversation about Hive
- Look for opportunities to build community digitally - whether that is building a Facebook group, getting Hive to speak on a Clubhouse, or engaging with our community on social
Experience
- 5+ years in a marketing or brand marketing role; e-commerce experience is preferred
- Experience leading strategy and execution across organic marketing channels
- Great instincts and relationships in the world of PR - you know how to get press that matters
- You’re tapped into the zeitgeist and have a strong understanding of the relevant cultural moments, news, and sources that make our customers tick
- You’ve built and run successful influencer campaigns, and have made this a meaningful part of your marketing funnel
- You know how to run a social media team, and know how to make content that works based on the platform. You’re well versed in community management best practices, and have been close to that side of social as well. You are constantly in the know of emerging social trends and bring loads of ideas to the table.
- You’ve led cross functional projects and are able to build strong relationships and drive consensus and collaboration
- You’re comfortable pulling and presenting performance data to inform recommendations. You’re deeply familiar with Google Analytics.
- You have strong creative instincts and are able to evaluate creative ideas against the brand positioning and the potential to perform
- You are excited to explore, sell in, test, and scale your ideas
- You have a deep passion for building a more sustainable and socially responsible world
- You’re a problem solver, and you love thinking analytically and using data where you can
- You excel at project management, are deadline-driven, highly organized, with an obsessive attention to detail

- You’re as comfortable working autonomously as you are collaborating with a team
- You’re a strong written and verbal communicator, and are able to clearly get your ideas across
