Thrilling is the first dedicated e-commerce marketplace for secondhand apparel stores. Over the past 18 months, our store count has grown 10x, and revenue 17x. We partner with 300+ stores in 39 states and are rapidly expanding.
Thrilling’s mission is twofold: we want to support small, local stores, while improving sustainability and reducing the carbon imprint of the apparel industry. Our two-sided marketplace lets anyone find great vintage, while helping our store partners grow their businesses. 95% of our store partners are women and/or POC; as a company with a black and Korean female founder and CEO, we are especially passionate about helping these small business owners thrive.

About The Role
Our ideal teammate is an excellent communicator who can drive meaningful, attractive content across our current and future platforms, including but not limited to social media. You have a knack for discovering unique stories and sharing them in a way that is compelling and delightful.

We are looking for someone who will enjoy creating posts that reflect our brand’s core values, which include protecting the environment, supporting small and local businesses, and celebrating diversity. You will be leading our efforts on Instagram, Twitter, and Tiktok, advocating for other channels relevant to our audiences, and helping to manage our blog.
This is a full-time position that will work with our Head of Growth and CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media: Own and manage Thrilling’s presence on different social media channels. You will write, schedule, and optimize regular posts across social media platforms, especially Instagram.
- Influencer Marketing: Build and drive partnership programs with influencers, identifying and developing relationships with those who are a good fit for Thrilling’s brand.
- Blog Management: Write content for our blog, help source contributors, and be able to edit and manage posts on a regular release schedule
- Research: Execute your own research projects to determine fresh new content (esp. for fashion, photography, and the arts). You will keep your finger on the pulse of social sentiment and trends, and find storytelling ideas from within our rich community of store partners and vintage enthusiasts.
- Brand Development: Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to move Thrilling’s story and brand identity (voice, visual aesthetic, and social presence) forward.
- Analysis: Manage content efforts and campaigns to assess what is working and what needs to be improved in our content strategy.
What we're looking for
- 2-3 years of experience writing content or owning social media for a consumer brand
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills: you’re on top of your work, and your execution is almost always error-free
- Amazing writing skills: you have an eye for excellent copy and will do everything possible to avoid writing blah sentences
- Creativity and innovation: you are an endless fountain of ideas for what we can do next, and are eager to share and pitch these ideas
- Flexibility: you’re comfortable working at a start-up with shifting priorities and fast pace of execution
- Authentic engagement with social issues: you should be comfortable speaking on social issues affecting our community--we believe in advocacy and standing up for what’s right
- You are passionate about social media (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc) and are constantly researching best practices and new ways of engaging with audiences
- Proven ability to be productive with minimal supervision
Bonus Points
- You are deeply passionate about the fashion industry, or have a desire to develop your knowledge of it (especially vintage fashion!)
- You have created or evolved a social brand voice, and can provide examples
