Influencer and Content Manager

Bokksu
New York, NY, USA ⚠ [Archived] No Longer Accepting Applicants

Bokksu is a trailblazing D2C brand delivering artisanal Japanese snacks to customers in over 90 countries around the world. Featured in Buzzfeed, WSJ, Eater, and Mashable, Bokksu partners directly with centuries-old family snackmakers in Japan to live out our mission of bridging people together and sustaining culture through authentic food and media. Launched in May 2016, we are a fast-paced startup headquartered in New York City with a branch office in Tokyo. We’re profitable, primarily bootstrapped, have grown our run rate 3X in the past year.

Our team is tight-knit, scrappy, and adaptable to many different roles. We move fast, take risks, and get things done. And, most importantly, we care deeply about our customers. The Influencer and Content Manager would handle our influencers (Twitch, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok), PR, and organic social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, etc.), and editorial blog. The ideal candidate understands e-sports, gaming, anime, Japanese culture, and more. Bonus points if you have a connection to or speak Japanese.

If you're seriously interested in the role, email [email protected] why you're a great fit, who you would recommend partnering (re: creators/influencers) with to raise brand awareness, how you would grow our organic channels, and any other recommendations you have. This is a critical white space role to Bokksu's growth.

  • 3+ years of social media and content marketing experience, preferably Gen-Z, e-sports, anime, and Japanophile audiences
  • Experience with influencer marketing and/or ambassador programs
  • Excellent design, copywriting and storytelling skills
  • Experience building and scaling brand social media accounts across Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitch, Twitter and more
