Digital Community & Influencer Marketing Leader
Edison, the company revolutionizing the modern consumer’s email experience, is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Leader to help grow the community, develop social content and proactively promote our consumer email products including our brand new email service, OnMail, across our blog, newsletter, and social media channels. The role will include a variety of responsibilities including recommending a growth strategy via relevant content creation and engaging the user community, engaging directly with influencers, helping to recruit brand ambassadors, and more.
This individual contributor role is an excellent opportunity for a candidate skilled in building community, social media engagement, and content creation.
Essential Functions
And Responsibilities
- Has a passion for and proven track record of working in the productivity segment of consumer products (e.g. built a community, blogging, posting reviews or YouTube video Reviews, evangelist for tech products, etc)
- Proactive ongoing engagement via social content creation with OnMail community of users and industry influencers/experts to seed/market OnMail
- Conduct outreach/recruitment of brand ambassadors (directly and over social media)
- Develop themed blog posts, videos, and podcasts about email features, tips, and profiles of OnMail users
- Amplify relevant OnMail content through community channels to raise awareness and visibility of the service ongoing
- Brainstorm and create new productivity themed content and social media campaigns
- Publish creative content to generate user engagement on social media accounts Medium, Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Test different community engagement and content strategies and report on key insights… and test again
- Ongoing collection of user feedback and communicate key areas of importance to the marketing team to leverage (e.g. best features for different types of users)
- Collaborate with Growth, Design, Product, and Customer Service to be in tune with the product roadmap, growth & marketing goals, and other tangential initiatives that involve the consumer community that uses Edison’s mail products.
Knowledge And Skills Needed
- Able to develop and execute an effective user community building strategy
- Able to comprehend complex concepts and present them as easy to understand and compelling stories
- Enjoys writing and has high attention to detail, spelling and grammar
- Interest in email, productivity, consumer technology, and social media
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with multi-tasking and collaborative work style
- Willingness to always research and comprehend relevant new topics
- 2-4 years’ experience with community building and minimum 1 year of exposure in the technology field
- Previous roles community management, social media, influencer engagement, or brand ambassador recruitment preferred
- Undergraduate degree in a Writing-related field a plus
