MSL is currently seeking a Senior Account Supervisor to join our growing team and drive influence, visibility and reputation for an integrated portfolio of clients in the healthcare and corporate space.

The successful candidate will have 6+ years of proven success in relevant public relations/communications roles, demonstrated ability to manage clients and collaborate with colleagues, and a passion to own and drive initiatives that yield measurable results in the healthcare space and beyond.

You will play an integral role in some of the agency’s largest accounts, with responsibilities including:

  • Leverage a mix of communications expertise including strategic media relations, media training, issues and crisis preparedness, executive communications, digital and influencer marketing and emerging media for PR programming
  • Serve as daily client contact for workstreams on some of the agency’s largest accounts
  • Drive and deliver media relations programs to elevate healthcare brands at the corporate level
  • Build rapport and cultivate relationships with journalists, partners and clients to better anticipate and address client needs and challenges
  • Provide reputation-driven oversight of client strategy, driving from idea generation to flawless execution of initiatives and brand positioning
  • Own the operational and financial performance of accounts, ensuring: quality work, effective processes and on-time delivery of client work
  • Manage and motivate team members by promptly reviewing work and providing constructive feedback
  • Lead client reporting efforts to capture and evaluate results and identify key learnings for client-ready presentation
  • Identify new opportunities with clients and earn incremental business
  • Participate with business development in new business activities

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • 6+ years’ experience in public relations/communications at an agency working with pharmaceutical and healthcare clients and/or in-house at a pharmaceutical or healthcare company
  • Strong experience developing media strategy and successful pitches for trade and business media
  • Solid relationships and working knowledge of trade (healthcare), business and news journalists
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across a variety of formats and channels, with impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience communicating about scientific or complex subject matter preferred
  • Strong presentation skills and professionalism
  • Proactive approach with a growth mindset, enthusiastic about learning new skills and delivering smart client solutions
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary (holistic) communication initiatives preferred, spanning traditional and social media and across practice areas, i.e., healthcare and corporate
  • Strong preference for West Coast location to accommodate client portfolio, with ability to travel (earliest late 2021)
