General Accountability

The Brand Marketing Manager plays a primary role in strategically developing, planning, and executing unified brand leadership and marketing communications that deliver consistent business results across all Manitou North America brands and products. This brand leader will be responsible for creating scalable and strategic brand initiatives targeting dealers, customers and end users through voice-of-customer (VOC) input that are consistent with our brand values and messaging.

The Brand Marketing Manager collaboratively works with Global Operational Marketing, Product Management, Sales, HR and Operations to deliver one common message and one brand voice that will motivate our targeted customers to act in order to achieve our set marketing and business objectives.

Duties And Responsabilities

  • Strategic Development: Lead the development of key brand foundational tools including brand positioning, brand narrative and overall strategy. Drive evolution of brand strategy and develop key messaging that is clear, concise and adapted by our dealers/customers and end users.
  • Brand Management: Lead the development of the go to market strategy and execute integrated brand specific marketing campaigns and tools that drive growth through our dealer/customer network by utilizing multiple media including digital, social, CRM, search, PR, and events that drive increased market share and measurable brand awareness across all of our respective brands.
  • Dealer Brand Development: Partner with core dealer/customer segments to development go-to market strategy to drive brand exposure at the local market level throughout North America.
  • Marketing Communication & PR: Lead all Marcom activities. Lead relationships with outside agency partners (Advertising, Media, Digital, PR) and serve as primary point of contact ensuring marketing objectives outlined by Marketing Managers and Product Managers are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Digital Brand Expertise: Lead strategy and execution of digital, social, mobile, and influencer marketing to deliver brand engagement within Manitou North America. Create and execute SEO strategy to ensure the highest brand rankings across search and social.
  • Work with closely with Operational marketing on development of new product launches and campaigns.
  • Participate in market and customer VOC activity to identify needs gain further insights on brands and products.
  • Participation in tradeshows, company sponsored promotions and events.
  • Continuous competitive benchmarking.

Education

  • Bachelor Marketing Degree +5 or equivalent

Experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in related function outside of brand marketing such as product management/development, sales, operational marketing
  • Global brand management preferred.
  • Dealer brand development is preferred.
  • Significant experience in strategic brand development/creation, social media content creation, project management & execution, strategic planning, dealer/customer engagement and brand building.
  • Strong project management skills and results orientation.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Strong customer orientation, international experience would be preferred.
  • Good knowledge of its Market (Construction, Agriculture and Industry).
  • Knowledge of the market network preferred.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies and concepts; SEO, optimization tools and trends including Google Analytics and Adwords.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills; ability to drive change.

COMPETENCIES And SKILLS

  • Exceptional knowledge of brand management, VOC, social media marketing, Marcom, in-depth market research/analysis and brand development processes.
  • Strong leadership, sales support, project management and communication skills.
  • Should be able to develop effective relationships and operate with senior level management.
  • Should be an expert in forward thinking, brand research, and should possess problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to listen to intended details attentively.
  • Excellent creative, writing, and presentation skills including demonstration skills to handle many assignments simultaneously.
  • Efficiently work under pressure, deadlines, and stretch extra hours to complete assigned task.
  • Proven knowledge in market and brand research/development.
  • Must be able to balance strategic planning with tactical execution.

Internal / External Connections

LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:

  • This position is located in West Bend, Wisconsin
  • 20% travel both domestically and international may be required
