OK Play is looking for an experienced Community & Social Lead to join our fast growing team. You will join a cross-functional team of experts who are driven to create play experiences that delight both kids and parents around the world.

This is a part time role, with the opportunity for full time.

Above all you understand the great responsibility that comes with making high quality content for families and want your work to have a meaningful positive impact on children and parents everywhere
What you’ll do:
You will be responsible for building a community from the ground up that celebrates children and their creativity. You will lead the charge to accomplish the following community goals:
- Connect OK Play’s audience, celebrating children’s creativity and how they use the app
- Inspire kids to deepen their experience with OK Play by sharing the content they create on the app and exposing them to content created by other kids on OK Play
- Build direct connections with our audience (kids and their parents), opening up opportunities to involve them in shaping the product and brand
- Surprise and delight our audience through: recognition, contests, loyalty rewards, etc...
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, engagement and growth of an active community of kids and their parents that is centered around the child’s experience using the OK Play app
- Develop strategies to encourage kids and parents to share their content created on OK Play with other members of the community (on social media and on the OK Play app)
- Identify and build personal connections and meaningful conversations with our audience
- Establish community management and customer support collaborations and strategies, respond to customer support requests
- Lead the development of content across many potential formats & channels (YouTube videos, in-app programming, written articles/blog, live events, live streaming etc…) that supports community goals
- Serve as the voice of the community internally to help influence company-wide strategy. Report on insights including conversation themes and sentiment to influence future marketing campaigns, app product development, and app content.
- Understand the interests and behaviors of our community on our social channels: Instagram and the OK Parents Facebook group. Build and execute on strategies to increase engagement. Collaborate on interesting and insightful content to drive engagement KPIs, follower retention, and increased conversation.
- Oversee the social media calendar, schedule posts, and monitor social media platforms for UGC, product feedback, relevant trends, testimonials
- Collaborate closely with our Science team to recruit and connect with Play Testing research participants; follow user behaviors and trends learned from our research efforts
- Collaborate with Science team on editorial strategy and development of our blog
- Potential to manage an intern or part-time employee for support on above duties
- Potential to oversee an influencer marketing budget & lead campaign strategy/execution
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years related community management and/or social media experience
- You have a strong interest in children/parenting content and communities
- In-depth knowledge of building relationships on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, and other social media platforms
- You are highly motivated and a self-starter
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong listener who is skilled at observing user behavior and can notice interesting patterns quickly as well as strong conversationalist who knows how to tailor your style, questions, a and approach to pull even introverted people out of their shells
- Scrappy, entrepreneurial spirit with an aptitude for working with limited resources
- Skilled at “wearing many hats”: Ability to drive strategy as well as execution and excited to flex your responsibilities across many areas of audience development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with social operational tools like Sprout Social
- You have experience working on children’s products or children’s media
