Primary role: The Kate Spade Public Relations Coordinator will collaborate with the global PR department to support global press needs, including sample organization and trafficking, gifting initiatives, VIP and Influencer requests, media and influencer reporting, maintaining press records and department database, in addition to organizing PR and Influencer toolkits.

Product/Sample Responsibilities

  • Facilitate sample loans across all product categories for domestic and international editorial outlets and celebrity dressing opportunities; support with any cross functional sample needs from the styling team, digital team, marketing team, etc.
  • Lead product orders from the DC to support VIP & Influencer dressing requests
  • Support the PR Associate with building and distributing the seasonal global sample directive and gifting directive to regional teams and ensure global alignment at all press events
  • Lead seasonal sample ordering for Domestic PR and VIP, and collect/track seasonal sample orders from Global teams
  • General upkeep and organization of the PR sample closet and sample inventory/life cycle
  • Oversee all gifting initiatives for PR, VIP and Influencer (inventory of product, allocation, packaging)
  • Facilitate credit requests to editors and track long-lead and short-lead credits across all media for 15+ categories

PR/Influencer Tools

  • Contribute to the development of press materials including look books, influencer product decks and pitching collateral
  • Partner with team members on cross-functional department requests (creative briefs, global requests, etc.)

Reporting/Data Management

  • Maintain all media contact lists (ongoing department records & project specific)
  • Manage a master talent database of VIPs and Influencers and support in talent discovery
  • Global press clips (create, file, maintaining archives)
  • Support in managing Dash Hudson boards across all Influencer campaigns
  • Maintain global VIP & Influencer records and archives
  • Lead all global reporting requirements as related to Press, VIP and Influencer (weekly recaps, quarterly reports, project specific recaps, etc.), working with global teams to track press wins and meet reporting related deadlines

Other

  • PR/Influencer seasonal event support (as needed)
  • Assist with influencer marketing special projects
  • Additional administrative tasks as required (research/data needs, scheduling, general dept organization/filing, meeting notes, etc.)

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in PR (in-house and/or agency)
  • Influencer marketing experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Fashion GPS
  • Prior experience using reporting platforms including DMR, Launchmetrics and Dash Hudson
  • Professional writing skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle the pressures of a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Proactive team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of the fashion industry, media & influencer landscape
  • Based in the NYC-area (must)
  • Bachelor degree in fashion, communications or a related field
