Influencer Relations Associate
The Influencer Relations Associate will report to the Influencer Relations Manager to help grow Valassis’ Influencer Network, manage influencer relationships, and support influencer campaign success. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, have exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrate success identifying industry trends and building strong relationships. They will be a strong communicator, as they will need to communicate and balance priorities and requests for multiple campaigns at one time.
Key Influencer Responsibilities
- Conduct research to source and prioritize influencers who align to the variety of campaigns that Valassis supports
- Lead influencer outreach/recruiting, contract/compensation negotiations, hiring and communications
- Create recommended influencer/creator one-sheets that are aligned to clients’ campaign vision and goals
- Edit and proofread influencer materials and content prior to sending to client for final approval
- Collect, edit, and obtain approvals on influencer content
- Monitor hired influencers’ social accounts to ensure follow through on agreements and approved content
- Work cross-functionally with the campaign/account management team to collaborate on client needs and drive successful influencer marketing campaigns
- Act as a liaison between client/campaign management team and influencers/content creators
- Stay on top of influencer and social trends and suggest new ways to innovate and enhance our influencer marketing approach
Qualifications
- Digitally and socially savvy with 1 – 2 years experience in influencer campaign management with an agency or CPG brand, and a strong understanding of prime social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc)
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship/community building skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Copy editing skills
- Comfortable problem solving and driving multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Efficiently manage time to execute tasks in a timely manner
- Team player who knows when to ask for help and escalate matters
- Proactive and detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills
