Marketing Manager - B2C (Organic/Brand/Local/Events)
Backflip.com instantly buys people's electronics – plain and simple. We operate nationwide and offer a box-less, label-less selling experience. We also operate a local courier model in Austin, Texas, where we pick up electronics on demand.
If you live and breathe marketing, we need to talk. We're looking for a flexible and versatile B2C marketer to join our small but agile team. Ideally you are a marketing generalist with ample experience in non-paid acquisition channels, including organic search, content marketing, local and event marketing. Marketing manager responsibilities include tracking and analyzing the performance of non-paid marketing initiatives and campaigns and ensuring that all marketing material is in line with our brand identity. To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience with web analytics tools and be able to turn creative ideas into effective marketing and content projects, especially on the local/grassroots level. Ultimately, you will help us drive transactions on Backflip.com for both our nationwide service and local, Austin service.
Responsibilities
- Own SEO agency relationship (via Victorious SEO), including deliverables, ranking results and other KPIs
- Own Affiliate marketing strategy and relationships (via Impact, Adbloom) to generate transactions nationwide
- Own Influencer marketing efforts with help of IMS platform (AspireIQ) for both US-based and Austin-local influencers
- Own our organic social media growth strategy for both nation-wide and Austin-local social efforts
- Ideate and own various offline, local marketing initiatives for our Austin service, including: billboards, flyers, events, co-marketing opportunities with Austin businesses, direct mail campaigns, and literally any other idea that will drive transactions in the Austin, TX market
Requirements
- Must be located near Austin, TX
- Bachelor's Degree in Sciences, Marketing, or rigorous fields preferred
- Must have 4+ years of B2C marketing experience in fast-growth companies, preferably focused on organic growth and local/event-based marketing
- Must be analytical and have solid understanding of tracking and reporting marketing KPIs (eg UTM params)
- Must be a clear and concise copywriter who isn't afraid to generate content needed for marketing initiatives
