SOCIAL MEDIA & AFFILIATE MARKETING SPECIALIST
Social Media & Affiliate Marketing Specialist develops and leads the implementation of the company’s social media strategies, developing brand awareness for Shoebacca and our products, generating inbound traffic from social media and affiliate channels. This role coordinates with the internal marketing & merchandising teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a strong social media & affiliate presence for Shoebacca.
SOCIAL MEDIA
- Develops social media strategy - Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, promotions, etc. Manage presence in social networking sites including Instagram, Facebook, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as need. Become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
- Develops and oversees approval and implementation of content calendars and social media posting schedules, for blogs and other content marketing assets (i.e. social media posts, infographics, image treatments, videos, white papers, etc.) on platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest & TikTok.
- Collaborate with merchandising team to identify needs, opportunities and rends to promote through social media.
- Collaborate with the company’s digital marketing agency to support and amplify paid social media placements and ads.
- Lead influencer marketing strategy and execution to drive awareness, site visits and conversions.
- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact programs and analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results. Regularly provide feedback/insights gained from teams, to help evolve brand strategies. Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and application
AFFILIATE MARKETING
- In collaboration with affiliate marketing partner, grow base of publishers to meet and exceed the monthly sales performance
- Conduct weekly analysis of all active campaigns to optimize performance to ensure that we are achieving desired KPIs
- Actively recruit and diversify our portfolio of publishers that provide merchandising opportunities, or specialize in retail, footwear or fashion.
- Work with existing publishers to build trusting relationships and suggesting innovative ways to increase ROI for company and publishers
- Provide publishers with access to company promotions in support of key brands, styles, categories and SKUs.
- Build and maintain an intimate knowledge of industry developments to spot opportunities to grow affiliate demand
Job Requirements
- 1-2+ years of retail experience required; retail and corporate experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree from 4 year college in Journalism, English, Communications or related field
- At least 1-2+years in social media, public relations, journalism, corporate communications or related
- Experience with managing a company's social media presence using a social media management tool such at HootSuite or Pixlee.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong project management and planning skills
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Strong communication skills and effectiveness to communicate point of view
- Fluency and working knowledge in all social channels, to include, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter & TikTok
- Knowledge of current trends in the social media world
