The Company

Plum Guide is on a mission to build the definitive collection of the world’s best holiday homes. We are taking a systematic approach to vetting every single home on the planet and accepting only the top 3%. Like a Michelin Guide, but for homes. We do it by putting every home in a destination through a systematic vetting process, which includes identifying candidate homes through proprietary AI, interviewing hosts and sending our Home Critics to visit and test nominated homes in person.

We launched 5 years ago. Since then we have grown incredibly quickly; expanded to 254 locations in 15 countries; tested over 150,000 homes; and developed a customer experience that’s returning the highest NPS scores in the industry.

Our focus for the next 12 months is on hyperscale and hypergrowth: taking Plum truly global. This is where you come in.

The Role

A strategic objective for Plum Guide is to expand our global marketing & sales channels. This role will spearhead the growth of our affiliate program. Reporting into the Head of Performance Marketing, you will manage one direct report with a view to grow the team in the future.

This individual will own the channel’s growth strategy and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to push initiatives forward, create operational efficiencies and deliver successfully against high organizational standards. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated manager with the ability and hunger to get your hands dirty and get things done. You will also have a track record of thriving in fast paced environments, learning quickly and are excited about navigating ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the overall affiliate marketing strategy, define and track all relevant targets & KPIs and execute and optimise in line with business requirements
  • Manage budgets and deliver accurate forecasts and business targets
  • Drive key campaign planning, partner outreach, market positioning and branding across all affiliates
  • Be responsible for the relationships with key affiliates, maximising their attention to the Plum Guide on their platforms. This includes:
  • Significantly increasing the number of active affiliate partners
  • Significantly increasing affiliate partner engagement (i.e. more traffic and sales driving affiliate partners)
  • Building an engine to acquire affiliate partners at scale
  • Building an engine to engage with affiliate partners at scale
  • Building & maintaining strong relationships with our key affiliate partners
  • Work closely with product team to launch technical builds required for growth
  • Own the channel’s data & analytics: provide in depth reporting, analysis and insight to relevant stakeholders, highlighting the story behind actual and forecasted performance
  • Work with Brand Marketing to develop Plum Guide’s’ Influencer marketing strategy to raise brand awareness and drive traffic and revenue
  • Advise the wider business on all matters relating to affiliate marketing, up to date trends and technologies, and the benefits it has within the business

Requirements

  • A comprehensive affiliate marketing specialist with experience gained from a high-growth business within the vacation rental/ hotel/ travel sector. 3+ years experience preferred
  • Data driven. You are comfortable and able to utilise reports, dashboards and analysis of performance and forecast
  • Strong hustle mentality and commercially astute. You have a successful track record in the achievement of targets and objectives, with an ability to stay ahead of competitors and deliver excellence. You will have specific experience in building growth strategies using ROI and other metrics
  • Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You manage tight deadlines across multiple projects and various stakeholders. Combined with meticulous attention to detail and a proven track record of delivering trading results in a fast-paced online business
  • A great communicator. You have excellent influencing and negotiating skills, whilst building professional, lasting relationships at all levels
  • A natural leader. Coaching team members to drive performance & enable change as well as supporting development
